Allow PG "Dumpy" style emotes on Twitch.
A Dumpy emote is an emote with a shaking butt in a circle and does not contain nudity or sexually explicit content of any kind. There are over 900 of them on Twitch as of this writing.
Dumpy emotes are incredibly popular among a wide number of communities on Twitch. However, they have been removed by Twitch Moderation at seemingly random for violating the community guidelines.

As these emotes are based on a draw-over of the PG movie Open Season from 2006 it seems absurd to ban them from the platform.

Agreed. These are funny, cute, and harmless. Insinuating that they are somehow sexually explicit is absurd.
In the "reason", Twitch points to "Gasm"-style emotes, however, these emotes are allowed per Twitch's latest Community Guidelines.

It's really a shame to see the Dumpy emotes being removed from Twitch. They're just a bit of fun, inspired by the movie "Open Season," and they've become a huge hit across various Twitch communities. It's clear they're meant to be light-hearted and aren't crossing any lines into explicit content.
The inconsistency in how Twitch is handling these emotes is confusing and frustrating. If they're based on a PG movie and aren't offensive, why remove them? It feels like Twitch needs to clarify their guidelines and apply them more consistently. It's tough for streamers and viewers when you can't predict what's acceptable and what's not.
I hope Twitch reconsiders their stance on this. It's important to keep the platform safe and welcoming for everyone, but this just seems like an overreaction that's dampening the community spirit. Let's keep things fun and fair for everyone involved!

OP sums up everything I could think to add to this. It was fine for a PG movie, why wouldn't/shouldn't it be fine for Twitch?

If yall are allowing "artistic nudity" now, why would there be a ban on fluffy animal butts, especially when its a thing that ferrets do (in this case)

I have seen the recent changes to TOS and generally keep up to date on changes. Although, it's entirely possible to have bad actors abuse an emote of this nature, it's use is primarily comedic purpose. It's origins in fact prove that it is harmless and the majority of it's use on the site would be harmless/comedic.

Regarding the 'Dumpy' emotes on Twitch, I believe they should definitely be allowed. It's clear that these emotes have become a significant part of the Twitch culture, resonating with a wide range of communities. Their popularity is a testament to their appeal and the joy they bring to users. Importantly, these emotes are based on the PG-rated movie 'Open Season', emphasizing their non-explicit nature. This origin not only adds a layer of creative ingenuity but also aligns them with family-friendly content.
Furthermore, the fact that these emotes do not contain nudity or explicit content is crucial. They seem to strike a balance between being playful and staying within the bounds of acceptable content. It's also worth noting that the seemingly random removal by Twitch Moderation might not be fully considering the context and intent behind these emotes. Given their popularity and harmless nature, a reconsideration of their status seems not only fair but in line with fostering a vibrant and inclusive community on the platform. After all, the essence of Twitch is about building communities and enabling creative expressions within the boundaries of respect and decency, and the 'Dumpy' emotes appear to fit well within this ethos.

The Dumpy emote has felt like an integral part of the twitch chat culture. to remove it feels like taking away a part voice and community. I agree with the original post.

Complete agreement of this. There's no nudity in these emotes, it has no intention of that, and it is widely accepted in many communities on various platforms, including Twitch.

I see no reason for these emotes to not be allowed on twitch

With the recent policy change you have made it clear you want to support artists and user expression. Removing an emote that is very PG is only stifling that expression.

It seems stupid to ban fun emotes that encourage interaction with the streamer like these emotes.

A dumpy is not a sexual representation of a body part, is just that, a body part! why over sexualize!

The Dumpy emotes have a big fanbase among communities. It is very sad for viewers to see these emotes go even tho they are rather harmless and are fun to use.

The emote is merely humours and contains no breach in twitch's code. to have it permitted again would prove highly popular among twitch's generall viewership.

Twitch has been very inconsistent about moderation of butt and dumpy style emotes. They are allowed in some channels and banned in others. It's time to get a clear policy on this. The emotes are generally extremely harmless and meant as a joke/for fun. Most of the banned ones do not deserve to be.
