I think just like partners affiliates should get a badge too. Not the verified symbol but its own personal symbol
i posted this like 2 years ago but wanted to repost it because more people are on Twitch now and more people get affiliate every day , how about affiliates get a badge too like partners or it doesn’t have to be a badge just something next to their name where they can say “hey i am an affiliate” it will push people to go for affiliate and than partner more i think but also change the requirements so it’s not easy to get , maybe like 7 average viewers and 70 followers
Or option 2:
you can leave the affiliate how it is now and make this like a goal for streamers between partner and affiliates , so you get affiliate than your channel grows you than have reached let’s call it “Partner Push” so between Affiliate and Partner streamers can kinda get a taste of what partner looks like and than after that once they average more viewer they can apply for Partner
Just an idea i had 2 years ago that i reposted and made some changes since Twitch changed ALOT in those 2 years
Let me know what you think and i hope you all have a good day ❤️
I think that would be neat. sure twitch can think of a fair way for it.
If affiliates get badges then there is no real reason to push for partner, I would just keep it to partners
As Twitch is adding more features i feel like they should give affiliates a badge like partners to show in other people's chat that someone is a affiliate streamer , also give the option to turn it on and off so that if a affiliate doesn't stream alot they can turn it on and for the people that stream alot they can turn it on , just a idea to give a spotlight to the hard working affiliates out there because it's not easy to get partner and for some (including me) it will take a while to get partner
Hope this gets added
I was coming to the forum to suggest this as well. Glad to see there's already a post on it. Sad to see it hasn't been picked up yet :(.
@NerdyAJ @CookSux Believe me guys! Most of the viewers even do not know what is the difference between a partner and an affiliate. And they have no idea what the verified symbol means. Or do not get why somebody does not have the possibility, to offer subscribing.
However, yeah.. I would like also have an affiliate badge!
Hello today I want to propose my idea to twitch, which secodome is a nice way to encourage and enhance more, who unfortunately has unlocked the "partner" objective and is not accepted immediately or is accepted after various requests, let's talk about a topic regarding affiliates, my idea is to enhance affiliates more by adding a badge similar to the one with the partner, or another badge, in gray color or a color that differs from that of the verified / partner, for many it may be bullshit, but in reality it is not in this way you can enhance those who live constantly and in a certain sense those who cannot grow quickly compared to some users, for me it is a nice idea let me know know what you think! Thanks for watching!
There are so many streamers on Twitch right now, due to the pandemic and since everyone was home watching people stream, came the rise of affiliates. Affiliates are getting some of the things that partners get (like with more emote slots), they should get a badge to. not only separate them from viewers, but to give them another way to grow their channel and connect with other affiliates. The badge doesn't have to be a fancy icon, like the verified checkmark for partners. It can just be the letter A to stand for affiliate.
Make it affiliates who average a certain number like 30/40... not just the ones who got two of their mates to watch their stream to get the badge
i totally agree affilaite should have there on badges not just verified user please @twitch set up affiliate badges !
MatrixCy nails my point lol. I just mean something so people who DO stream stand out amoungst just general chatters
its way too easy to become Affiliate nowadays, this would be 75% of chat now
Just a simple badge, a little "A" ? Shows that you are affiliated so people in chat know who are streamers and who are general chatters
I would not agree, because I think that there are already a lot of affiliates and therefore a lot of them, would have this catch and it wouldn't be special either. Therefore, I would rather advocate a small checkmark on the profile page.
Hello my idea would be a badge for affiliate partners, like the badge of twitch partners only one extra for affiliate.
For example an "A" badge before the name
1. man would be better recognized in chat that one is affiliate partner (serves as proof)
2. affiliate becomes more special
I think it would be better to be recognized as a small affiliate streamer in the chat.
Sry for the bad english i come from germany
Here is the text in German:
Hallo meine Idee wäre ein Abzeichen für Affiliate partner, so wie das Abzeichen von Twitch Partnern nur eins extra für Affiliate.
Zum Beispiele ein "A" Abzeichen vor dem Namen
Yep as an affiliate we should have own badge
I would have thought affiliates would already have a badge. They should!
I totally agree with this idea, there should definitely be a badge for affiliates, the badge could be a checkmark without the aura that surrounds the check or something cool like that.
Is the Sub button not enough to differentiate?
Affiliates should have a global badge that separates them from the rest of the chat as broadcasters.
A broadcaster has that camera badge on their own channel, but when they are on another streamer's channel, they do now own a badge.
That badge will be benefiting working hard Affiliates that socialize in other channels and would help them get followers and gain new supporters. Also as a streamer myself, i would like to know when someone on my channel is a streamer so i can follow them too.
To avoid being overused by people who streamed for a little and then realized it's not for them, twitch can have some requirements to get and maintain the badge such as streaming hours p/month or total hours.
This feature will benefit both affiliates & twitch since revenue may occur from that.
To make things even more fair for the broadcaster that is being visited by "professional chatters", you can also give the option to channel owners to switch on/off broadcaster badge visibility from their chat channel.
