Let emotes artists use the emotes they draw for partnered streamers for free
It would be awesome if Twitch allowed artists who design emotes for partnered streamers use them for free!
A suggestion is for Twitch to create the option for partnered streamers to specify which artist(s) created their emotes when they upload them which would then allow the artist to use those emotes on Twitch.
Benefits to this is that it would provide more exposure to both the streamer and the artist. The artist would get more promotion through sharing their created emotes on Twitch. Fans of the artist who enjoy their art style would be able to see which emotes the artist has created and which stream they're from. As a result, this would bring more exposure to the streamer, leading to more subs!
I feel that Twitch artists, though they contribute so much to the streamer communities, often receive little recognition for their hard work since they work behind-the-scenes. It'd be nice if Twitch implemented this feature to show their support for their artists!

Currently Twitch does allow you to choose an account as the artist of an emote, unlike what it says in the suggestion. This work for partners and affiliates. But what is still lacking is for artists having the option to use these emotes without a subscription to that channel using them.
Since you can only have one artist per emote, this system can't be abused.

Come on Twitch.....Do something about this. Emote artists are a vital part of channels and the decision between people deciding to sub or not. If they don't like your emotes, they generally don't sub. With less subs, that bites into the Twitch profits, so making this possible for artists to use their artwork for free, it not only gets their work out there ( for possible future customers to see ) and it helps keep a healthy relationship between emote artists and Twitch. I'm sure there are MANY streamers that would vote yes on this as they want to support their artists. Me personally, I'd love to sub to every customer who has my emotes, but I cannot afford to. Please, support the emote artists who support streamers and add to Twitch profits. It's a win win.

We really need this feature! It wouldn't be too hard to give access to emotes you are attributed on and it would allow us to showcase and enjoy our emotes in chat without big hassle.
There is no way we can stay subbed to all customers and give 10000s of bits just so we can use emotes we made.
I understand that this is not top priority since most normal users don't care but please finally do something to support artists a little more! -

Can it be affiliates too please? I love my artist and want him to be able to use his emotes!!!!

I would LOVE this feature! I am not an emote/asset artist myself, but I have many friends that are - I would SO love to have them share their work elsewhere if they would like to! They put in the time and effort to make these creations that make many channels shine.
I wouldn't mind even having the option - where streamers can choose whether or not they want to enable this function.
Regardless, its a big yes from me!

This would be perfect to pair with the artist attribution feature, and should definitely include emotes of affiliate streamers too!

It would be a fantastic feature if artists could simply use the emotes that have been attributed to them for free!
Sure, some people could exploit this by just attributing an emote to their friend to give them permanent access to that emote, but since emotes can only be attributed to a single user, that shouldn't really matter.
Artists shouldn't have to pay to use emotes that they've created.

Why hasn't this been implemented yet, it seems pretty obvious and its actually insane it wasn't part of the original rollout of the attribution feature.

Actually what I did was allowed a lifetime tier 3 for the artist since this wasn't a option. Definitely would like to be able to have a way to do this without having to do something like that. Just in case you change around your emote artists.

I get where you're coming from, but isn't that basically the same as taking a commission and then using the art you were commissioned to make for other things without regard to the spirit (or even letter, depending on the contract) of the transaction? It seems kind of skeevy to covet the emotes of someone you have no intention of supporting...

Yes that sounds like a great idea :D
Even tho the emotes I made are for affiliates, I still would love to use them :P -

As an emote artist, it feels so weird to get paid for drawing emotes, only to have to pay for the ability to use them. A sort of "verified artist" status would be nice, especially since many streamers will commission one or two artists to do all of their emotes.

Artists have a hard time getting work recognized by the community as is, but it's even harder with so many streamers using emotes and people not knowing easily who created the work. It would be great if the streamer could allow access to the artist for their own emotes to be used anytime without needing to sub to each channel they made work for. It would help advertise the artists' own work as well as shout out the channel that the emote is available on. It would be a win-win situation for artists and streamers. I hope you see this and consider the option! Thank you!

Artists should receive a free sub to channels they created emotes for
or artists should have 1 or 2 free subs to a channel/s of their favourite emotes that they created
i get a bit antsy when an artist says on stream
"Oh i need to go resub to soandso so i can use my own emotes on twitch!"
it's a bit silly when they're paying, and basically not gettting paid for their art
Thanks -

The streamer can just give a free sub to the artist.
