Add a feature to turn off the power-up feature
What if a streamer doesn't want the power-ups to clutter up their channel points?

I do not want them, let me disable them.

I would prefer to be able to turn this feature off. I do not like being in a stream and having these large icons in my face, and as a streamer I don't like having the demand for bits shoved in my viewers face.

Bring back the customizable icon images for power-ups. The forced images are ugly.

I hate the power-ups feature. Streamers should be able to disable it. Viewers have to scroll to see the things I want for my channel, and that's inconvenient. Please allow the OPTION to remove the power-ups from my own channel.

Custom bit redeems or simply allowing them to be disabled for those who do not want them and not lose viewer engagement (instead of forcing me to set them to max price so nobody redeems them) is the far smarter play. It has been half a year at this point and the lack of acknowledgement at the request of more control over ones owns channel is frustrating

At this point, I've used a particular "element blocker" to remove the power-ups feature from the list of channel point redemptions.
Twitch, if you won't do it, your users *WILL* use their own way to hide it.

Twitch, what is the status on this? It is ridiculous that we cannot disable this. (I don't want to have this for my channel and i don't want to see this in other channels either)

I get why folks are pushing for a feature that lets us turn off the power-up thing—sometimes too many forced boosts just break the flow. It’s like having way too much sugar dumped into your morning coffee when all you wanted was a subtle pick-me-up. Before I learned how to navigate these weird situations, I remember looking up some expert help with a totally different challenge in my life. I’m talking about finding a reliable person to guide me through tricky processes, which, in my case, included stumbling upon the best realtor in greenville sc https://www.fastexpert.com/top-real-estate-agents/greenville-sc/ when I had zero idea how to move forward. That experience taught me that having the option to turn off unnecessary extras is really about maintaining control. So, yeah, this toggle would be awesome. For me, it’s not about eliminating all power-ups, just having the freedom to say “no thanks” when I’m already confident with where I’m at. It’s one of those small changes that can make a huge difference in our overall experience.

The Power-Ups don't seem to do anything for me, although they do clutter my channel point redeems. Combined with the removal of icon settings, it defeats the purpose of customization in that part of the channel.
Settings to order the sections and toggle visibility on unneeded ones would be highly useful.

I do understand it's something that Twitch wants, because these are activated with Bits instead of channelpoints, and I also understand that Twitch needs to make money in order to continue offering their service.
But as a small streamer, I do not like this feature, as it pushes my channel-rewards further down - and typically, I don't have enough viewers and the power-ups aren't used at all, so it leads to just make the list of rewards longer with no benefit.
That's why I would also love to see an option to make the power-ups optional.

Gonna go ahead and chime in.
THIS needs to happen, but Twitch wants their money over making their people happy.

Really, Twitch? Really? Insofar as I can see, at the time of writing this, this feedback is the top-rated suggestion. No other suggestion in any category has as many votes as this one. And it's really a very simple request. Just add a little toggle switch so that we streamers can control what occurs on our channel. Barring that, move the things that cost bits over to be with every other thing that costs bits (though that isn't technically what has been voted on, a large amount of people commenting have asked for that to occur).
And instead of implementing this simple fix that so very many people want, and will allow us to comply with your own TOS in regards to us being responsible for what appears on our channel, you did the following:
1: launched it and prevented anyone from turning on or off channel points for a time (by your claim, to "ensure an consistent user experience", but likely just so you could get consistent data without people rejecting this out of hand).
2: Removed the ability to change the icons for the power-ups, thereby preventing anyone from either doing the honorable thing and warning people that it costs bits, or at least making the redeems fit in, aesthetically, with their channel points.
And now, 3: Enlarged the buttons for power-ups and changed the icons to be gaudy and attention-grabbing.
All while keeping something that costs bits in a "free but for viewing" section of viewer interactions, and keeping it right at the top of that list.
Clearly, adjustments can be made to the power-ups; adding a toggle should be dead simple, and even if it isn't, moving it to the section with all of the other monetary-based redeems would be no challenge at all. This practice is scummy, as it can trick people into spending money that they didn't intend to spend, it is hurting many communities and viewer interactions with streamers, and all it serves is your short-term bottom line. Changes like these are going to drive both viewers and streamers away from your platform. Why don't you act in accordance with your claimed values, and listen to the people who are using your service, especially for such a small, simple change as allowing us to control what we feature on our channels, or at least grouping items appropriately?

Guess I'm back here again.
Gonna say it again, chasing short-term profit gains over long-term stability will continue to damage Twitch as a platform. If anyone *at all* from Twitch actually reads these things, I'm sure it's not the people who make these awful decisions. But it's worth repeating that the Power-ups system (totally coincidentally, I'm sure) broke the ability to turn Channel Points on or off for well over a month, anecdotally they seem to break redemptions from other services and Twitch chat itself, and there's been zero response from Twitch in any form. You could at least tell us that you won't be changing it or offering a toggle. There was clearly enough recognition to stop people from changing the icons after a couple weeks, so someone knew something was up. The silence speaks volumes.
Maybe listen to people who aren't your top shelf for once. The *even larger* vertical banners that push Channel Points further into obscurity and inability to turn it off, presumably EVER, makes it clear that Twitch doesn't see the people who use their platform as anything but a source of money.

For the love of all that is good please let us either turn these bit redeems off, have them in their own separate area or under bits in general, or make them small again. I can see this causing my viewers to be frustrated to have to scroll even more to find the redeem they want. I personally hate seeing these big icons on my friends channel point redeems and it makes me less inclined to actually use the channel points as a viewer.
