Add a feature to turn off the power-up feature
What if a streamer doesn't want the power-ups to clutter up their channel points?

The fact the chat that pop-out chat doesn't support power-ups is incredibly stupid. If you don't have your stream manager open you just basically can't use power-ups at all, so forcing streamers to have them on is insane

Just let us disable it, it's not a lot to ask for. If you're gonna add new features don't force it on us. Especially something this intrusive to the stream. We already struggle to keep the stream on track.

There's potential but it is very silly to have a extremely distracting feature not be able to be turned off for either the streamer or viewer.

As someone who doesn't push for any monetary stuff with twitch, this really hurts. I am forced to have them at the top like I'm asking for money and it's completely rude.
No one wanted this - we asked for a lot more useful things than another money grab from you folks.

Another feature twitch won't let us opt out of.
First it was stories, then the mobile redesign (which they only heard the feedback about autoplay but not the feedback wanting to keep the following page the default), and now this.

I am tired of having New Features! forced on my channel and content, with no way to switch them off. I should have the ability to opt in and out, or switch on and off these features so they dont interrupt my channel and the content I've built on over my streaming career.
Turning these features permanently on, just makes the community hate them as a whole and you dont get a good idea of how useful the integration is, because no one wants to use things that are forced on them. More and more ideas are being pushed with no thought to what people have created as a theme or idea for their channels. It shows that Twitch have no connections with their streamers at all and are even more now about monetising everything. Yes I know its a business that needs to make money, but driving away your consumer base is not going to achieve that.
Stop forcing integrations on us, and let us choose to opt in and out. I guarantee you that you'll have a better response to these new features that way. Rather than an incredibly tone deaf and lacklustre rollout that has people already hating the change before 24 hours is up

why is this not a toggle?? and you removed the toggle to disable channel points entirely as well? is this just to trap streamers into using the new feature, or is this some "unfortunate temporary measure" as you iron out the kinks? if option a, that's incredibly scummy. if option b, maybe fully develop the feature and make sure it works before pushing it out on the entire userbase.

No feature should be launched sitewide without the ability to opt out and moderate them. The fact that this is being done with a paid feature is so transparent and a bad look.
Let's say somebody gets an explicit emote auto-approved. If somebody were to use an explicit emote for the On-Screen Celebration, would the streamer get in trouble because it was forced upon them?
Furthermore, having actually sent a gigantified emote for 30 bits, it did not look any bigger than a normal emote in my chat in Firefox. I've turned off all extensions and tried again, but still nothing. I also couldn't see the highlighted message effect that somebody else did. So this whole feature is just broken as far as I can tell. What is it optimized for? What settings do I have to change if I wanted to actually use it?

Please let there be an opt out option. I don't want to use this feature.
It not only can ruin a cutscene, it affects VODS and potential clips. We need to control when they're able to be used.

I think Power-Ups have potential. Many streamers use bit alerts already to trigger effects and encourage cheers. As this feature gets developed further, being able to choose which power-ups to offer and to add your own bit alerts into an actual menu would be amazing.
However, this roll-out is incredibly messy. Every streamer I've interacted with so far has been confused about what it even is, and many of them are unable to even *see* the effects that Twitch is actively encouraging people to use. Different streaming software doesn't show the effects yet, the effects don't show in mod view or the streamers' own preview at all, and FFZ also seems to interfere with the chat-based effects. Getting mixed reports about support on mobile, too.
Had Twitch given people the chance to opt-in, all of these issues could've been prevented. But no, this feature has launched seemingly everywhere at once, without offering the streamer the one toggle they need.
As viewers are paying money for this, anything but immediately offering streamers the ability to turn this off until they are able to incorporate it into their streaming setup would be irresponsible. I'm excited to see this feature develop further, but not like this.

Forcing this on every kind of stream, regardless of vibe is just bad practice.
At the VERY LEAST make it opt in or out.. Either option would be better than having this **** forced us.

Yeah, I need to be able to turn it off. I could have had this on my own but I chose not to, thats not the vibe I want for my art stream.

I make a deliberate choice not to use "frills" that produce a lot of chaos over the game. And now you're forcing me to allow anyone to cover my entire screen with any emote they have access to, not even just my own? This is an awful idea. I don't see any value in forcing us to use this for the sake of "consistency" when every other animated "extra thing" that can go on a stream is so highly customizable and optional.

I put time and effort into curating and creating my point redemptions and do not want them to be deprioritised by options that are available on literally every other affiliate channel.
- allow us to turn off power up features
- place power up features in a separate menu
- if channel points and bits need to be integrated, have it be possible to set a price for a redemption in bits as an alternative to channel points. after that, power ups can be placed in the same category of the default channel point rewards twitch already offers. As in, optional for the streamer. -

There needs to be a toggle for this feature. I do not want interruptions in chat or over the top of stream while I am streaming, and I am especially unhappy that it is a section that appears on top of my channel point redeems. Make new features optional!

This is intrusive and clashes with the artistic vision of each creator - no option to disable it is akin to a high fantasy video game getting a loot box with MR INCREDIBLE'S WACKY GIANT TOY SQUEAKY HAMMER OF DOOM!! inside of it.

How about you go back to talking with your streamers before changing vital elements of their stream.

Wild that this was launched without the ability to disable it.
