Add a feature to turn off the power-up feature
What if a streamer doesn't want the power-ups to clutter up their channel points?

Given that they just decided to launch making those buttons EVEN BIGGER, It's high time they give us the ability to turn them on or off.

It's ridiculous that Twitch gets to decide for us to infest our streams with gross and pointless visual noise. How is this not an option? I do not want this or anything like this anywhere near my channel in the slightest.

Viewers barely use the power-ups in my channel anymore, which is fine.
The irony is that Twitch created this to try and help creators further monetize their channels so we can all make more money, but in not giving creators the power over how and when this new feature works they're LESS inclined to use it.
It's not an inherently bad idea, but forcing it down creators throats is not the vibe.

The wait for this feature to be optional has been downright criminal and is a horrible sign of our lack of control as creators.

You updated to include an entirely new paid obnoxious self advertising system in chat by adding the new highlighted message system, like the old one wasn't bad enough....AND STILL DIDNT ADD A WAY TO TOGGLE THEM ALL OFF! Failure of a decision.

This feature is incredibly frustrating. Please add button to disable it.

Please add the option to disable this. Like many other streamers who have provided feedback here, I don't like being forced to decide between the possibility of someone in chat obnoxiously disrupting my stream with these powerups or the possibility that someone accidentally actually spends 10k bits despite me trying to disincentivize anyone from using the redemption.
The obviousness of this being a cash grab for Twitch by making it mandatory and obstructing bit rewards is all very gross, which of course everyone realizes. Having the toggle option would make it clear which streamers are glad for the feature and might provide a better permission structure for people to actually use it in the right circumstances.

as someone who genuinely appreciates this feature, it is honestly baffling that it's still not optional. the agency, folks...

when this feature was released (for God knows why) I didn't like it, and I still don't, when I saw other people test it, I didn't see anything happen. and you can't turn them off or anything, and they're super annoying to see, and the "NEW!" like label thingy on them also doesn't disappear.
Twitch, PLEASE add an option to turn them off, or just remove them entirely.

So instead of giving us the ability to disable Power-Ups, you've...taken away the ability to customize the icons for Power-Ups. Thanks for letting us know where your priorities lie, Twitch.

This should obviously be an optional feature.

A month later and Twitch still hasn't given us the option to disable this "feature" that no one asked for. If it were any other "feature" with this much backlash, it would've been reverted within the first couple of days.
Twitch, do better.

i lost 140 € because one streamer made them (so nobody uses it) 10.000 bits. i tought it was 10.000 channel points for one power-up. was to fast (it needs only 1 click with linked credit card were the price appears to purchase). oh and yeah, i could somehow stop it to use the already purchase bits. now i have 10.000 bits and twitch support says to my kindly refund request sorry can't do nothing. i will try again, then take legal steps, then try to sue. 140 € :D and twitch gets 40€/40% for this transaction. omfg

It's been over a month since this feature was introduced, and there's not even at least a corporate "we've heard your feedback / we're looking into this" in response to the multitude of complaints to this.
Points are still broken and can't be turned off or on, and I constantly see other people's stream redeems broken by this short-sighted roll-out of a feature.
I wrote a small essay with my frustrations last time, and I'm just worn down at how poorly Twitch handles these roll-outs at this point. At this point I'd just be happy with a toggle of some kind, but I'm convinced the reason that's not the case is because it's tied to points and there was zero long-term planning.
I don't know why I'm bothering to write this all out since it's clear that even if someone at Twitch does read it, the people who call the shots don't care, preferring short-term profit gains over long-term stability that's going to continue to damage Twitch as a platform.

wow, it sure does make point redemptions more accessible by having to scroll past this ******** every time, which many streamers didn't ask for in the first place :')
