Opt out of Cheering Experiement
I did not want to be part of the Twitch Cheering Experiment. I am a small streamer and rely heavily on my stream alerts gimmicks to fund raise. The Cheering Experiment has massively reduced my income and the platform takes a larger cut and it doesn't even do anything cool when someone donates.
Twitch sent a stealthy email on the 20th and only gave us til the 24th to opt out but I only found out yesterday. I can safely say I don't want to be part of the experiment and would like to opt out immediately. There should be a button to opt out. I can't even get support to manually remove me.
Really don't like the short notice and not being able to opt out.

I bought a bunch of bits on discount. And now several of the streams that I would normally support with those bits? I can't because twitch now wants me to pay ADDITIONAL money in cash w/ this beta...WHERE IS THE OPT OUT?!?!?!?

I contacted Twitch to opt out of this experiment TWICE. I am partner and my job is streaming. I rely on those revenues to LIVE. I am not happy at all with this experiment. The community doesnt like it and have negative impact on my revenues. A 4 days notice to invite us to opt out is TOO SHORT. I am very unhappy right now. Also, in the original email, it was written that this will be ADDED to the old way to cheer, not that it will REPLACE it. Please be more specific on your experiment and let more time to decide if we want to jump in or not. I am very concern right now of the future of my channel with this way to cheer. We shall also have a setting to opt out at any moment, that will be way more pleasant for us, but also for you not to manage all the complaint you got about your experiment

I do not enjoy this, I do not have time to reintegrate cheers into alerts and do not appreciate this. Give me my bits back. Please.

Allow us to opt out now! This was forced on my channel yesterday and will cost me financially. Chat is not happy about this change.

There was NO mention that this new way of cheering would mean viewers wouldn’t have access to the “regular” bits cheering experience. I also have a lot of alerts from specific bit amounts that my community love to interact with, especially for the Halloween season. We were misled as to what this “experiment” would entail and I want to be removed from it immediately.

This is a great example of how all large platforms experience entropy. This move will absolutely hurt streamers, but it's not like Twitch even cares about the very people who make their platform successful.

I have opted out. Another round of streamers were selected for this test on September 15th and have until September 20th to opt out.

Twitch I am also here to point out that you pulled some shady **** to forcefully opt us into this trial & not give us a legitimate way to opt out. You sent one email & only gave us 4 days to opt out.
Yet for weeks you have been telling us that you're going to remove the friends list, IN OUR CONTROL PANEL! However, you couldn't have sent a notification to the control panel about this? You couldn't have informed your users properly that this was coming & given us ample opportunity to opt out.
Again, I will say this was some shady ****. Also, I can only assume that you targeted streamers that received a lot of small bit redeems.

I am a viewer and I love to support channels with bits cheering, but I have not once used the coin experiment method -- and I will not ever use it; it is a hideous idea.
I've spent around $100 so far on cheering with bits, and $0 of that will be on the coin experiment. I want to be able to opt out of the experiment on a streamer which has it enabled, because it absolutely kills my desire to cheer.
The main channel I cheer on, got the email waaaaay after the deadline to opt out, so she's pretty much screwed until Twitch decides to disable it, if they ever do. The experiment has failed, get over it Twitch, and end this experiment now. Stop this nonsense!

I was also one of the streamers that was chosen for this experiment and since I wasn't properly notified of this HUGE change, cheering was active on my last stream and the viewers and I were confused that they could not give bits anymore, and when they tried the cheering option they did not like the experience in general and that they couldn't give a specific amount. My channel gets many of the donations threw specific bit numbers that are special to my community, such as inside jokes. Without customization, the viewers felt that "cheering" was boring and the cheering announcement in chat felt like flexing money instead of supporting the streamer (me) because it showed a clear dollar amount. Since this change, they can no longer give bits and do not want to use cheering. I don't understand how a beta should completely replace a legitimate function that is available everywhere else on the platform. Just offer bits and cheering together, put their icons next to each other and let the viewer decide which function they wish to use. In a way, this might hurt twitch more because I am now forced to use a third party to have my viewers donate through (streamelements) instead so they can activate the bit animations they like to see. Please remove this beta.

I was also added to this experiment and searched my email for the e-mail I was supposedly sent and never found it and then did some more searching and I didn't even have the type of email notification on that would've included me TURNED OFF.
This is incredibly frustrating and unwarranted.

This hurt so much, I was added to this experiment over a week ago, and NONE of my viewers like this! i have bit triggers hidden under random amounts that everyone on my chat loves to go through every stream. It has taken a real hit.
Lucky for me, I do not rely on Twitch for income, this is just for a fun and chaotic stream, but wow. None of us like this change. Please find a way to take us off of it and Opt out.
Update: as of 6/3, i was removed from this "beta" Chat is back to making chaos again!
