Fix sorting on Apple TV
The Apple TV app is now nearly useless because everything is sorted by recommendations instead of viewers, and there’s no way to change it like you can on other platforms. Until Twitch is able to make its recommendations actually be decent, change the default sort back to sorting by viewers.

Thank you for your report. We realize the recent experience with different apps, including Apple TV might be frustrating, and we do apologize for that. An underlying change in the technology used to power the Twitch TV application on Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, PS4, PS5, Xbox and Xbox Series X/S devices required us to rewrite those applications, resulting in reduced functionality and features. +1 the current sort system is really bad :(
I use it every day on my AppleTV and almost switching to just YouTube as I really can’t just sort for number of views on the games and after I select a game :/ or check what is the current most played game in the twitch AppleTV app.
Also the option that you can’t see the chat some times on the app is cringe! I usually keep the chat open on Apple TV even that I do not send message of part of the experience keep checking what’s is going on between streamer and chat.
