[Feature] Stories on Twitch
Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories. Learn more about stories and current eligibility requirements in our Help Article: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/stories. We'd love to learn what else you'd like to see so share with us your feedback.
I don’t like the feature, I don’t want the feature clogging up my already crowded page and there’s zero option to remove them. It’s a fail. I have unfollowed people I like to get rid of these obtrusive things. Bugger off with it. You may be super proud of your ‘innovation’ but it’s a massive inconvenience.
Please implement a disable feature for stories. They are intrusive on the mobile apps, especially when your in landscape mode. Also, many streamers are not using it as intended, instead using it as a going live notification. Which we have to stare at different "going live" stories for the next 48 hours. If you want to add features, plz do more QA testing for your mobile apps, as the many comments posted here show it's a horrible addition on mobile. Thanks.
How can I turn off this (unnecessary) function? Unnecessarily consumes space/memory/resources of older smartphones and/or limited data volumes.
The Twitch app is becoming less and less fun to use.
Alternative apps are becoming more and more interesting and popular and also work on older smartphones...
How can i deactivate this waste? For me this is absolute an assault. I never wont something like this. It needs much space and it shows me people who i never saw and where i never visit. Its horrible.
(Same waste with the random clips before)
I want my followed channels and nothing else on this site!
It's been two months and you have yet to listen to those of us that use mobile that either stories needs to be relocated or have the option to disable them. If you view in landscape mode on a tablet or phone, stories takes up the ENTIRE screen. We have been unfollowing creators to be able to move past them, which is NOT supportive to the creators or to Twitch. You have first the Stories then you have current live, then you have clips, followed by recommended. This means that smaller creatives are getting missed, and the creators that are using stories for BS posts are losing follows and potential subs.
I can tell you personally every person that I've unfollowed, I'm also not renewing subs because then we also don't even see that they are live. I can tell you that my 10k hours will most likely drop in half for the next recap. I've even stopped modding for the a partner that uses stories at this point
You are hurting the very creators that you offer the platform to
Please remove stories. I'm not using it!
It would be great if there was a setting to disable them.

I feel like twitch doesn’t focus on using your cell phone and it’s kind of annoying. I use my phone to check my chat use my phone to play music. How can I do any of that the app will not work. Like it says there are stories, but I can’t see a single story. I can’t post a single story, why is twitch not friendly?
Ok muchas gracias por la información

Hey’s on twitch
Very annoying on mobile when using an android tablet in landscape View. Takes up too much screen real estate when browsing its frustrating to have to scroll down several pages sunce the previews are stupidly enormous. Started unfollowing people who post stories since there are no options to hide them or minimise the view.
