  1. I want to be able to make a custom panel that a creator can put in their Stream Manager.
    It already looks pretty extensible with how you can move stuff around and pop things out.

  2. For extensions that center around Clips it would be nice to be able to play that clip in the extension rather than having the viewer leave the extension/Twitch streamer to go and view said clip.

  3. The "This extension can view my subscriptions list." toggle, (in Manage Extension Permissions) doesn't do a check to see if the channel that the extension is installed upon, is eligible for Subscriptions at all.

    Wording should/could be changed to prevent broadcasters of type BLANK (as apposed to affiliate/partner), becoming confused.

    As they'll click the toggle, run the oAuth dialog and then the toggle is still off.

    On hitting the toggle, change the popup response from:

    "You have successfully authorized this extension to view your subscriber list!"

    To

    "You have successfully authorized this extension to view your subscriber list! But you…

  4. The current configuration page has a lot of empty space and on laptops, we lose half of the screen space instead of having a nice place to configure an extension
    See: https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/improve-extension-configuration-page-for-smaller-screens/20194/3

    With the new design of the dashboard, Twitch introduced a new layout for the extension page.
    https://imgur.com/a/0SYGWi5

    It would be logical and great to have the configuration popup aligned to this design so we can have more space on the configuration page

  5. The given JWT representing the transatction receipt contains a time field that is stringified version of the Golang time object. Parsing in this format is significantly harder than a ISO standard format.

  6. Currently, testing extension UI across different user roles (Broadcaster, Moderator, Subscriber, Viewer, Anonymous) is a high-friction process that often requires coordinating with other users or managing multiple browser profiles. This inefficient feedback loop leads to avoidable production bugs.

    I propose an "Extension Simulation Mode" within the developer dashboard that allows us to:

    Role-Toggle: Instantly switch the Extension environment view between Broadcaster, Moderator, Viewer, and Anonymous roles.

    State Simulation: Toggle common state-dependent scenarios, such as subscription status or mobile/desktop viewport layouts.

    Impact: This would significantly improve developer velocity, reduce QA time, and increase the robustness of extensions by enabling comprehensive testing…

  8. Include the displayName in the javascript helper without asking any special permision or without doing any special function (like using bits).
    This value it's only available if the user send bits and the transaction get complete.

  9. I discovered that the extension in Twitch chat displays an incorrect description. The 'Description' section is supposed to be viewable only by streamers and viewers on the Extension Detail page, but this is not the case. Instead, the 'Description' appears in the chat, as opposed to the 'Summary'. As illustrated in the provided screenshot [https://imgur.com/a/LNOpr6B], I filled out all three forms, and the chat shows the 'Description'. It would be more appropriate to display the 'Summary' in chat since the 'Description' can be quite lengthy.

    'Description' is labeled with the caption 'is viewable by streamers and viewers only…

  10. Whitelist the google maps URL (https://maps.googleapis.com) for extension iframe, since Google Analytics is already whitelisted.

    It is currently not possible to add google maps to an extension due to the security policy of the iframe blocking requests.

    This could be interesting for a number of different extensions, including games as google maps includes features that other providers do not have (e.g. Streetview)

  11. I want my Twitch Extension to be able to copy text to clipboard. It seems as though that the iframe allowed permissions are limiting this. Therefore I request for Twitch staff to add clipboard-read; and maybe clipboard-write;

  12. I would love to make a private extension based on who is part of a stream team. This will allow additional users to be able to install after release without having to update the allow list and re-publish the extension.

  13. The autoscale option works great in bigger resolutions, but I don't want to sacrifice breakpoints entirely. It would be great if I could toggle autoscale to kick in after a certain width. This would allow for fine control for smaller resolutions and still enjoy scaled up versions of my biggest breakpoint for huge resolutions like the 4K fullscreen mode.

    My biggest breakpoint is at 500px so that's where I start scaling the extension.
    I made a quick proof of concept of this if anyone's interested.

  14. If an extension doesn't have an EBS (or it's not needed) or doesn't pass the language string up to the EBS.

    There is no way for extension developers to collect usage/render by language.

    Please provide a report that outputs a breakdown by user/render by language.

    This will allow extension developers to determine if translations are needed and what languages to translate to

  15. At the moment, we can only use local fonts or google font in extensions.
    I would be great to allow fonts from Adobe to be used too so we can use more fonts for our projects.

    The css link they give us
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/xxxxxxx.css">

    or

    <style>
    @import url("https://use.typekit.net/xxxxxxx.css");
    </style>

  16. Create transparency for the streamers/viewers on Twitch.

    Twitch should require developers to state whether and how they use generative artificial intelligence to create player-facing assets, live-generated content, or marketing materials.

    The disclosure should be displayed in a designated text/disclosure section on the extension store.

    This UserVoice is based on Steam's AI disclosure implementation. https://store.steampowered.com/news/group/4145017/view/3862463747997849618

  17. Currently, when developing twitch extensions, the local test mode does not work in firefox. This can be fixed by adding the "loopback-network" permission to the outer supervisor-ext iframe, making the allow list allow="loopback-network encrypted-media *" - this will allow the browser to request access to local resources if they are accessed, such as the dev iframe.
    More info about this security feature can be found at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Defenses/Local_network_access - adding this to the iframe delegates permission for accessing local resources to the parent scope, which allows the prompt to work and local access to actually pass through.

    An example in the…

  18. For folks that have insomnia the chill streams (the IRL, singing streams, talk streams etc) are great to doze off to. The downside with no easy sleep timer you have to wake up to log out.

    the plus side would seem to be those that didn't want to be woken by ads would sub to creators to not break the vibe

  19. Please make the extentions disabled by default, it's impossible to watch some streams especially with "ceobonk" extention. This garbage of a plugin makes the tab freeze because it makes the browser use 100% of CPU

  20. Features onChanged helper callback executed once instead when e.g. chat or bits enabled changes

    it appears that atleast in hosted env, the following code:

    const onChangedFeaturesCallback = (changes) => {
        console.log(changes)
    }
    window.Twitch.ext.features.onChanged(onChangedFeaturesCallback)

    is executed once. It is not wrapped within onAuthorized. Context: the broadcaster and user are the same logged in clients, and the client is affiliate

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/reference/#onchanged-features

    I could not verify it works on production. Based on the docs mentioned above, I would expect it to execute the callback function whenever features change (including hosted/dev stage) .. e.g. chatEnabled or bitsEnabled changed by the broadcaster in permission…
