What I can say is that this is an imperfection and the image is a very important element that helps and motivates us to move on. I say this as someone who has been a photographer for about 17 years. I photographed mostly food, but I still have experience, especially since all the activities are very well covered on this website https://idealmagazine.co.uk/eat-with-your-eyes-first-the-8-key-tenets-of-fantastic-food-photography/ , which helped me a lot in my time, so go and have a look. But if we continue with the topic of images, I am very surprised that such a simple thing as an image can cause so many problems and awkward situations. Solve the problem, make people happy.

That would be good, especially with the AI TTS meta at the moment. It would add something that a lot have wanted, and that more will enjoy

This is not surprising as they have a very creative content library and online tools. I confess that now this is the place of my inspiration and the embodiment of all the most daring visual ideas.

Is this potentially going to happen at some point? Would be really nice to assign icons programmatically as my chat bot swaps rewards in/out on a regular basis.

Any updates on this? It's been a couple of years and I've added more custom reward functionality to my chat bot, but can't have images assigned via the API.

If uploading any image is not an option, an acceptable alternative for my use case would be allowing an icon to be uploaded in the dev console under the Version Details > Image Assets for the extension.

Also, interesting thing about being able to "copy" a channel emote to a reward icon --- apparently the file size restrictions are just a little bit tighter on channel point rewards than emotes. I found that I had to do some creative editing of one of my emotes to get under the [25kb?] limit.

I recently added the ability to set custom channel point rewards on a per-game basis for my chat bot (so I can do like "!profile apply inscryption" and have Inscryption-specific rewards added (and other games' rewards get removed).

BUT, I can't actually set the icon for each reward via my chat bot, which means I'd have to go back and set up the icons manually.

Any progress on it? :/

I am controlling several things mutually exclusive with those reward (users can choose the camera filming) and that functionality would allow me to change icon based on which camera is active (and if some rewards are "paused" due to not being available)

This would help a lot, I have a series of custom rewards that I want to create for a game integration, and uploading them manually is a nono for streamers who would be using it. The faster we can onboard them the merrier :D
