The new Unban Requests Helix endpoint is useless without the additional context of the banned user's recent messages and their mod comments - which are present in the modview window.
Perhaps this information could be added to the existing fetch unban request endpoint?
Adding this would allow developers to create games/integrations that would make processing unban requests more interesting, especially since many streamers choose to do them on stream.

It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to add mod comments for users via the Twitch API.
This would allow moderation tools and bots to automatically log contextual information when taking action against a user.
Such comments could include important internal notes that should not be visible to the user and therefore cannot be included as part of the official ban reason.
This would help moderators document sensitive background information without exposing it to the banned user.
This feature would greatly improve transparency and consistency within moderation teams, especially in larger communities or when using automated systems. -

Oh, and with the introduction of shared mod comments, it would be great if this was also able to read shared comments from other channels a broadcaster is sharing with as well as toggle whether added comments should be shared or not.

I’ve been wanting this for so long. I wish they would stop adding new features with no API access to it, esp. when they deny us API access for 2+ years following its introduction. :(

An update on Jan 31, 2019 gave channel moderators the ability to add comments to users within chat. There is currently no way to use the API to be able to set or retrieve comments for users in chat.
This should be available to the broadcaster and all moderators within a channel.
To add a mod comment to a user, the endpoint could take the following data as inputs:
- User: {user's name}
- Moderator: {mod's name}
- Broadcaster: {broadcaster's name}
- Comment: {comment to be applied}On success, this would return the following:
- Success: {true}
- date: {date}
- User: {user's name}
- Moderator: {mod's name}
- Broadcaster: {broadcaster's name}
- Comment: {comment applied}To retrieve mod comments of a user, the endpoint could take the following data as inputs:
- User: {user's name}
- Moderator: {mod's name (optional)}
- Broadcaster: {broadcaster's name}
- date: {date of comment (optional)}
- date range upper: {upper limit of date range (optional)}
- date range lower: {lower limit of date range (optional)}On success, this would return the following for each comment:
- Success: {true}
- date: {date}
- User: {user's name}
- Moderator: {mod's name}
- Broadcaster: {broadcaster's name}
- Comment: {comment applied} -

Very much would like this. At the moment we receive lists of bot- and troll accounts which we ban on several channels. This all needs to be done by hand.
The endpoint 'PUT https://api.twitch.tv/helix/users/blocks'; unfortunately only allows blocking of accounts for the authenticated user.

We're currently unable to CRUD User Notes from the Moderators Update last year. We also cannot read/issue a timeout or issue a ban via API.
