As a Jewish creator, these types of rules link Zionism with Judaism, which just fuels antisemitism even more. So much censoring and shutting down conversations is being done in the name of fighting antisemitism, and we aren’t asking for that!

    Twitch responded

Hey all! Thanks for this thread. We recently deprecated anonymous Cheering after we discovered it was being abused. While we understand some viewers prefer not being recognized for Cheering, we made this change to ensure a safer experience for those who were negatively impacted.

We’ve also heard your concerns on what this means for the future of Bits. This deprecation is not related to any plans to limit Cheering with Bits on Twitch, and is solely focused on providing a safer experience for our community.

I now have about 20 tags that are relevant to my identity. Those identities do not change, but I have to choose between aspects of me that are hugely important and relevant at all times. And that's without including stream specific tags! Separating stream tags and identity tags would help this issue immensly

I don't know how I'm supposed to pick the pieces of my identity that matter the most to me, especially when I also need to be able to use "closed captioning" and "charity" and "first playthrough" tags a lot of the time. Please increase the number!
