1. Screenshots and 2 mod verification with Suspensions

   When a streamer is suspended, screenshots should be included of the violation. Streamers are bound to repeat the issue if the issue is not made clear.

   Multiple staff members should see the reports before a ban is decided upon. These moderators would work separately, without the influence of one another, to decide if the ban should occur or not. If both moderators do not hit 'yes' to the ban then the ban should not occur.

   An example, my latest ban happened while a Twitch Staff member was in my chat. This member did not see anything against TOS and was shocked that my ban was upheld. I still don't know what the ban was specifically for, two weeks later.

   It seems there is a lack on consistency on what violates TOS and what doesn't. Screenshots and multimod verification before ban would cut down significantly on the amount of appeals and help tickets because people would understand the first time why they were ban.

2. Moderation and chat

   A few days I came across a creator who has his moderator in a group with other live moderators, they play on the same server as GTA V. If someone does something bad in the chat of some live, they are banned in all of them like others.

   My idea is the following: The permanent ban is not ideal for us to be making the person to have a good attitude again. Create a "prison" mode for people who made mistakes to have a chance to return to chat normally.

3. Idea to avoid missclicks for mods while deleting/timing out/banning someone while chat is moving fast.

   If you are a mod, you already know what this feels like. You are modding for the streamer and the chat moves and you see someone type something inappropriate or something you should be deleting, wrong behaviors etc..

   Chat moves fast and the messages move and so do the little options to delete/timeout/ban someone. At times, you click on one of those options but right in that instant the chat moves and you end up targeting the wrong person who has never done anything causing them to maybe get offended and possibly leave the stream.

   The idea is to allow mods and streamers to lock the chat, preventing it from scrolling, on the user that is misbehaving, typing bad messages etc.. (Just for whoever is using it).

   In mod view, have a mode called "Ban-Hammer mode" or something which will allow to start/stop the scrolling of chat (only for the moderator using it). If you hover over your cursor on the message from the user, it locks on it, highlighting or moving the cursor always in the message's area.

   Alternative, always by activating some Mod Mode or something (for mods/broadcaster only) have a button appear on each message to click on it so it brings it on the corner of the screen so you can choose to delete the message or ban the user.

   I believe there are ways to improve these ideas so if you could provide some feedback and vote this idea to bring it to Twitch's eyes, I'd appreciate it very much.

5. Include an undo timeout option

   Some viewers are getting a 1hr timeout just for subscribing.
   At least we could fix that Twitch blunder with an undo function.

   Sometimes viewers are accidentally timeout due to the jumps in chat. Those can be reverted but the new sub timeout cannot.

6. Ability to move chat switches down below the chat

   We need additional buttons at the bottom of the chat next to the "setting" button, such as "subscribers-only mode" and "emote-only mode" instead of open settings or type command, or turn into mod view.

   And that is very paranoid and malicious
   It’s painful because it spreads to other communities
   That's why people are fooled by strange rumors that they have never seen our broadcast

   They are already banned, but only chat is banned, so they can watch our broadcast.
   We already know how to stop them in a legal way

9. Cash App / Burger King Solution

   Include a setting that the streamer can set to moderate gifted subs.

   Example...
   Streamers can turn on and set a threshold setting where the gifted subs need to be approved.

   Therefore, if I set my threshold to 100, that means if one user gifts more than 100, I must approve it.

    Have a slow mode for subscribers.

    There is a possibility for partners to activate a setting in which all subs are immune to slow mode.

    My idea is that there are two different slow modes, one for all users (the one that already exists) and one for subs. My idea is that both are controlled either by chat commands or from mod view.

    This would be useful if you would like to give the Subscribers who are supporting you another benefit, also, as they're paying (or supporting with Prime) they probably are less likely to spam or disobey rules.

11. Disable chat ban buttons when they're hidden behind the emote/bit menu

    I keep "show moderation actions" turned on (adds ban/timeout/delete buttons next to names in chat) in the two channels I moderate.

    The other day I accidentally banned someone while on the chat emote menu, with a simple jiggled-mouse misclick. Turns out the tiny sliver of ban button visible on the left side of the emote/bit panels works just fine.
    I don't care whether I see it, I just don't think it should be usable. In my opinion, the only functional ban buttons should be ones with chat displayed next to them.
    I can't imagine any reason a person would reasonably mean to ban someone behind there, when you can't see who's posting or what they said.

    My issue is that mod settings appear before non-mod settings. I do not use the mod settings that often, and I have sometimes cleared chat by accident.

    The new moderator chat feature is a really good base point for enabling moderators to do great work but can I suggest some more options for the future of this feature? Options such-as being able to search the chatlog (maybe by date or just by words) , being able to delete your mod comments, and real time refresh on the chat when were pop out mode

15. Dealing with people that spoil

    Like many streamers, I've dealt with people coming into my stream with the sole intention of spoiling the game that I'm playing. My most recent incident was yesterday and it got me thinking about how to try and prevent this. I think I've come up with a three step process that is logistically doable because the general idea of the systems are already in place. I honestly don't expect this to be implemented but I figured I'd post it anyway.

    First you'd have to report sed user for spoiling. This is the easiest but also most cumbersome step because it requires Twitch staff to physically check each case. Luckily the system to prove that someone posted a spoiler is in place: Chat Replay. The person reporting would have to provide a link to the VOD and the time at which the spoiler was posted.

    Second, after it is confirmed that a user posted a spoiler, that person is given the class of Spoiler. What I mean by that is, much like users can be Subscribers or Twitch Turbo users, the user is tagged (whether publicly or just in the code) as a Spoiler. This is the most important step because …

    Step three is allowing a setting that prevents people tagged as Spoilers from chatting in your channel. My thought process is that it'd work the opposite of 'Sub-only mode' or the same as preventing people without verified email from chatting.

    My idea seems sound to me, but it of course requires manual intervention from Twitch staff and is completely subjective. I've personally had a bunch of people post minor spoilers accidentally and would only use this for someone like the guy yesterday who came in, posted the major spoiler, and then said “loooooool.” Other users may use this feature more liberally and potentially cause a bunch of people to be tagged as Spoilers. Yes people can still create new accounts and spoil again, but I think this would at least help prevent a few streamers from having games intentionally spoiled.
