Advanced Viewership Restrictions / Partner-Level Blocking Options
Please expand channel moderation capabilities to allow creators to restrict specific user tiers—such as Twitch Partners or specific account groups—from viewing their live streams and broadcasts.
Rationale & Impact:
Proactive Boundary & Privacy Control: Current channel bans prevent users from interacting in chat, but do not prevent them from viewing live content. Creators who have experienced harassment, unwanted attention, or brigading from larger channels/communities need proactive tools to protect their stream space before incidents occur.
Streamer Autonomy: Streamers should have full governance over who can access their content. Providing filter options to restrict viewing access based on account tier or status gives creators peace of mind and greater control over their broadcast environment.
Enhanced Safety Tools: Adding viewer-level restrictions complements existing blocking and moderation features, allowing creators to curate a safer, low-stress environment tailored to their individual boundaries.
Suggested Implementation:
Introduce a setting in the Creator Dashboard > Settings > Moderation menu that enables creators to toggle viewing restrictions for specific account types (e.g., Partners, newly created accounts, or specified user tiers) while logged in.
I would like an option to restrict Twitch Partners and their followers therein to be blocked from my broadcast as majority of the times they are there with ill intentions of slander, mass-report, defame and harassment. More control over my streaming space would prove more beneficial to me to actually have people that are there for me specifically and not on behalf of someone else paying them/shouting me out.
