Prevent accidental mod actions
Current implementation of quick actions allows issuing a mod action with a single click without any confirmation, which is fine when you need to act fast, but opens up a huge door for a whole world of accidents and uncomfortable talks after that. For instance, I wanted to bring a browser window to the front, for which I put a cursor on a seemingly empty spot, only for a ban button next to a user in a list to manifest itself right under my cursor, which I did not have time to process before I clicked it.
That, in my opinion, is horrible UX. The action that could tarnish my and my streamer's reputation should not be executable this easy on accident. Even more - the info that a certain user was banned on a channel already propagated to other channels via shared ban info, and even if I immediately unbanned them - they're still going to be flagged as suspicious user on other channels.
I propose multiple solutions:
- Ask for a confirmation on kicks and bans that requires either a second click in a slightly different spot, like in a tiny popup next to it, with option to not ask again for power mods who have better control over their stream than mere mortals like me.
OR
- Implement a Gmail style undo pattern: the action isn't taken immediately, but rather after a short timeout if Undo button wasn't pressed.
ALSO
- Possibly look into a way to undo a ban - not an unban, but a complete reversal of the entire mod action, including removing an entry in shared ban info
OR
- Make sure that if a person is unbanned - shared ban info updates accordingly.
