Add a option for mods to delete their own messages.
When the streamer is trying to do something and you post something you wanna delete you cant delete it yourself if ur a mod so Could you guys add it?
Thanks RochelleK1994. That worked. It's weird they hide the icons for your messages, but still let you delete it if you know to use the context menu they never tell you about.
UPDATE: I just discovered that menu was from the BetterTTV browser extension I have installed. So Twitch doesn't expose this through their default front-end, but their back-end allows it when exposed by third-party tools.
Please add this! I mod for my husband and it's often not pratical for them to stop playing to delete my message if I have a typo or accidentally posting something sensitive like a password or PII.
Also, with me being the ONLY mod for the channel, it's not an option for me to just unmod myself and ask another mod to delete my message.
(TBH, it would be nice to also be able to delete other mod messages too without having to unmod them. We all make mistakes and we all can miss the mistakes we make... If a mod ends up being toxic with the deletion of mod messages then they can be removed from the mod team.)
Hi there, you can actually delete your own comments if you are on PC by right clicking your username on the comment that you want to delete and a pop up will show up where you can then click on delete and it should hopefully work.

In case this helps anyone who has this sort of situation
- use /clear to clear the chat and maybe spam a bit if its on the screen on stream
- If the mod in question uses chatterino they can Shift + left click msg and use copy message id to do /delete id
I do not know if the above works if a mod tries to delete another mods message but its works with IRC
As of now, only the streamer himself can delete a message sent by a chat moderator - but typos happen, even to moderators. The typical example is the typo in the "bigger" word - 'b' is so close to 'n' on keyboard. As of now, if the streamer is AFK, the only way to delete such message is to /unmod yourself and ask another moderator to timeout you.
So it would be a good idea to let chat moderators delete their own messages.
This is most-def needed!
