Preventing the creation of hateful or explicit usernames I would like to propose that Twitch implements much stricter rules surrounding username creation and the terms which are allowed to be used in usernames. Users are still allowed to create usernames which are hateful, sexually explicit and degrading, despite this behaviour being against the Twitch Community Guidelines.
I appreciate that moderators and streamers are able to ban and report these accounts, but stopping this behaviour should NOT be the sole responsibility of content creators and their team. Furthermore, this method merely addresses the problem AFTER it has already happened. We need Twitch to implement a system which can identify…

We've updated our Username Policy to set a higher bar for what’s acceptable to better serve our global community. Our goal with this policy is to have consistent, stricter guidelines for removing existing inappropriate usernames and prevent the creation of new offensive usernames when leveraged alongside machine learning at signup.
Our updated policy details what egregious usernames violate our Community Guidelines — for example, hate speech, threats of violence, and personally identifiable information. We will also remove reported usernames that fall into the following categories:
References to sexual acts, arousal, fluids, or genitalia
References to hard drugs — excluding alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana
One big change is that we now have built a dedicated, self-serve name change tool allowing you to change your username while maintaining account history, subs, follows, and bits. Once you change your username, you can resume using the account with no strikes applied. The…

Bring back Block, Ignore specific streamer features with a restrictive functions. Twitch is removing the Block user feature when friends feature is removed. Another thing that removed but not entirely is the ''Not interesting streamer report feature''. The support said but there nothing in the main twitch website. I would they implement a blacklist feature where you can ban and block users to watch or/and chat with the creator of the stream to prevent toxic behaviors and keep safe & clean. This could help a ton of people who got suffered by toxic users outside of Twitch or from Twitch Himself. Make blocking list sync between social medias by linking accounts.…
1 voteHey there,
There seems to be some confusion, because the block feature has not been removed. If you need to block a certain user, feel free to use the command /block [username] in chat. This will minimize you from having to interact with the user. For more information on blocking users and other methods of managing harassment, please check out our help article here. If you see a stream recommended to you, and you don't agree with it, you can also click on the "⋮" icon below the channel and select "Not interested". Hope that helps.

Badges for multiply banned account Hi Twitch,
What about a badge for all these users who have been banned from a lot of channels ?
It would warn the other streamers and viewers about their level of toxicity when they appear in a chat.I have already vote for this kind of suggestions but I would highly ask for the possibility to forbid totally the channel to a toxic viewer. It is unsafe to know that they still have access to the live.
Thank you
1 voteHey there! Thank you so much for this feedback.
We've introduced Suspicious User Controls that might help here. This feature helps moderators and streamers to detect, identify, monitor, and restrict chat privileges from suspicious users in their channels by highlighting their messages. Learn more about Suspicious User Controls here.
Additionally, you can share ban info amongst streamers in your Creator Dashboard under the Moderation tab. You can learn more about Shared Ban Info here.
Hope this helps!

BAN MODS WHO PROVOKE PEOPLE Mods shouldn't be allowed to provoke people and then ban them when they defend themselves.
1 voteHey there!
Moderation is owned by channel owners. If you are having an issue with a channel mod I would recommend reaching out to the streamer. Twitch does not action on channel moderation requests.

here is a idea if you are ban from a channel you put your request in and the mods say no i think we should put a request into twitch staff t If you are ban from a channel you put your request in they say no u dont like the answer you should be able to request a unban from a channel to twitch staff
1 voteHello!
While we appreciate you reaching out concerning this, when it concerns channel bans and purges we leave that up to the broadcaster.
We want broadcasters to always be at the helm of their community.
