Channel points for ALL streams
So, I was an affiliate and decided to leave the program and really miss the interactive channel point system. It would be LOVELY if you all would give channel points to ALL streamers because it just makes sense. Channel points are a great way to have interactivity with your community and it SUCKS that I, a non-affiliate or partner streamer, can't use the feature. I may be in the minority of this though. My question is though, why is it only for affiliates and partners anyways? It's not like you make money off the channel points anyways, so it really just makes more sense for everyone to have access to them.
We announced today on Patch Notes that we will be giving all streamers access to Channel Points. We will begin rolling out in the US on 7/28 and expand globally over the course of this year.

This not being implemented in some degree makes so sense to me considering Iron Mouse is one of the biggest streamers and is disabled herself.
Think about how many more streamers may be the next Iron Mouse with these benefits being added since they would be able to push their content further and make their streams more interactive.Twitch must not like money I guess.

I totally support this idea. It can't be that disabled content creators have to run the extra mile and use 3rd party options to have channel points and/or a few emotes.

I agree with this so much!
Being a disabled content creator is already hard enough, they shouldn't be limited just because of life circumstances not allowing them to be an affiliate. Even when alternatives exist, that would be extra steps they have to do to just get something similar - and even then, first impression to a lot of people would be that since one is not an affiliate, they are less valid which is ridiculous. If there could be a review process or a different type of status for disabled content creators to prove their effort is worth it, that's not in vain; something to show Twitch is inclusive and appreciative of its creators, that would be amazing

As someone who also has more than one disability, I would also love for streamers who are not affiliated to be able to enjoy streaming by having channel points for their community or at least their own emotes. It could be the same requirements as affiliate, but just not monetizes to unlock channel points etc

It's outrageous that non affiliates aren't able to use channel points as it causes a massive disadvantage against those that are affiliated.

My idea is that Non affiliates should be able to have channel points and a limited amount of emote slots
Some disabled content creators living in the UK are not allowed to accept affiliate due to been on some sort of disability benefit and accepting affiliate
would make them lose their incomeThis leaves them stuck as non affiliate and makes their channel less interactive and therefore leaves them feeling left behind and disheartened
Even a limited amount of emote slots would be fine just so people can make their channel their own and feel included
Having channel points will add an extra element of fun for the viewers and streamers themselves and also could help with things e.g. hydrate and posture check for disabled content creators who struggle to remember these daily tasks

I agree, I want to start out streaming and use community bots for tts and other fun things on my stream, but most of them require bits/points.
