Allow rescuing watch streaks
Problem: It is frustrating to lose watch streaks to real life, eg power outages, work/school obligations, etc.
Suggested Solution: If a viewer loses a watch streak, allow them to reset to that watch streak count by watching the vod of the missed stream before the second missed stream.
Example: Alice watches Bob constantly, and has reached a 37-stream watch streak. On what would have been the 38th stream, she misses the stream for some reason. But as long as she watches that 38th stream vod before Bob starts the 39th stream, Alice's watch streak is reset to 37 and then goes to 38 when she watches the next live stream.
Extra Considerations: Watch streaks should still be special and require watching the streams live, which is why this feature would only set a watch streak back to what it was instead of continuing to add to it. Also, with the suggestion, users would be able to freeze their watch streak indefinitely by watching vods which may not be desired.

Yeah I had my 120+ streak broken on a channel I moderate even tho I was watching and actively chatting for a good 4+ hours on their last stream before 2 days off ... no notification it was at risk so no chance to "save" it in the next 24 hrs.
As usual their Support offered no actual support except to come complain here ! -

This happened to me recently. I either was in the lives or watched the vods after but when I went into the stream the other day to share my 60 streams watch streak it showed it was at 1, it should be 65 now but sadly back to 5. They didn’t even give me the warning it was expiring either. Twitch help basically said to come complain here 🤣
