Channel points for ALL streams

So, I was an affiliate and decided to leave the program and really miss the interactive channel point system. It would be LOVELY if you all would give channel points to ALL streamers because it just makes sense. Channel points are a great way to have interactivity with your community and it SUCKS that I, a non-affiliate or partner streamer, can't use the feature. I may be in the minority of this though. My question is though, why is it only for affiliates and partners anyways? It's not like you make money off the channel points anyways, so it really just makes more sense for everyone to have access to them.

We announced today on Patch Notes that we will be giving all streamers access to Channel Points. We will begin rolling out in the US on 7/28 and expand globally over the course of this year.

    I would love to see something like this happen, and there are a few posts which suggest a similar idea. I worked to get Affiliate, but currently I am unable to make use of it, with emotes and channel points, without fearing that a random big gift sub donation with no promised sustainability will disqualify me from important disability programs. I feel I have a lot I could create and share that would benefit others, and it's not necessarily about the long-term finances, just the growth, which is unnecessarily challenging without features that make viewers feel they are a part of a community.

    There are a couple ideas I've seen elsewhere if they want to limit it to Affiliates ("Affiliate Light") or streamer's share goes to charity. I love streaming, as a viewer, mod, and creator. Unfortunately the nature of it, is that it's not consistent. For me, potentially goals/caps could work. No gift subs, goals that cannot exceed their cap, that type of feature.
