I don't believe there is any added value to a streamer for this service. 100% of it goes to Twitch, it's not even shared out with the streamer. And what does spending that money for a favorite streamer get them, the viewer? Maybe some recognition in that channel but other than than, I don't get how it actually translates into views. Recommendations, whether it's 1000 or 3000 doesn't equal a click/view. Plus a broadcaster is having to make a choice between asking their community to pay to boost versus a sub or bits? Just seems wrong...

I am 100% behind this idea. If you absolutely insist on going forward with making your promotion algorithm pay to win, at least have the decency to take those who already have good exposure (and therefore don't need this feature) out of the picture so that Huge McBigStreamer with 40k viewers can't drop 1k worth of boosts on themselves in order to make sure that Smalls McSmallTimer's 20 dollars worth of boosts get buried.

Because we all know that if you have to choose between giving screen time to one of those two content creators that you're going to choose the one who gave you more money, not the one who actually needs it more.

Set a cutoff point. Partners should be ineligible, as should Affiliates who're close to that threshold. If you're going to pretend like this system is intended to boost discoverability, then make it actually do that instead of turning it into scenario where the already popular streamers can rig the system even further in their favor.

A small streamer has more to gain per individual viewer than a larger streamer. For example a stream of 5 viewers has a lot more to benefit from 5 additional viewers rather than a stream of 800 people has to gain from 5 additional viewers.

In other words the value per viewer is dramatically higher the smaller stream you have, and thus the boost benefits you more the smaller you are.

Additionally, actually spread the love. From my understanding someone already had the opportunity for 4 boosts while from a collection of people that I know including myself never saw a glimpse of the feature. Don't understand what algorithm is being used by Twitch, but it's definitely biased.

I totally agree, patners doesn't need a such feature.
Allowing them to have it wouldn't help anyone

On paper, boosting a stream to help discoverability is great, but if larger streamers who absolutely do not need any form of help when it comes to being discovered are being given boosts, it absolutely defeats the purpose of this feature, which is to help us smaller streamers get some footing on Twitch, something that Twitch's own help article on it has admitted to.

My proposal is that there has to be a cut off on who gets to be eligible for Boosts, where if a streamer has been accepted into the Partner Program or is very, very close to hitting the threshold to be able to apply, then they are clearly in a position where they are not struggling to be discovered.

Stop just catering to your partners - this is all the boost system will do.
