Manual Channel Point Display Order and Hide Chat Message
I'm in the process of developing a game designed to use channel points (CP) as a means for viewers to interact with it. I however have encountered a couple of minor issues that would be detrimental or unintended side effects of the game due to limitations in the channel point system.
Firstly, there is no way to order CP rewards manually. Since the CP rewards are the viewers interface and resulting action, it would be much better to have them ordered by type of action rather then the cost of the action. In addition I wanted to use a "NOTES" reward to give the viewer basic information about the game, but in order to make it appear first I have to make it cheaper then all the other actions, which may result in people wasting there CP on something that doesn't do anything.
Secondly, as implied by the above, CP rewards are the viewers actions in the game, but there is no way to disable the chat message for rewards redemptions, in small to medium channels, this probably isn't going to be too big of an issue, but with the cheapest action currently being 50 points, when you get to 200+ viewers it's going to be a major issue. As such a toggle to not show reward redemption publicly would be nice (the viewer should still see the redemption).
This is really important to be able to do. I either need to have crazy expensive rewards in the game I'm making, or it will flood everything completely. Being able to have a toggle during the reward creation "Do not show redemption in chat" would be a godsend. As it is now, I cannot deploy it, or my chat can't actually chat. They have the power to turn it off in Activity Feed. Why not chat?
I have ran into the exact same use case issue. We have chat commands for a game, but chat becomes unreadable. Please let us disable the “claimed” message in chat
Being able to hide channel point chat messages would do wonders for allowing the CP panel to act as a command menu for viewers.
