Pinball Category

Can we get a few edits on the Pinball category located at https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/pinball-2
to use this new image https://imgur.com/a/UYF1HRj (Courtesy of Fox Cities Pinball), add the tag "pinball" to the category (currently only has IRL and Arcade) and a new description:

A community celebrating the art and skill of pinball, featuring both traditional mechanical machines and virtual simulations. Join enthusiasts as they stream competitive tournaments, casual gameplay sessions, restoration projects, and technical discussions about this timeless arcade classic. Whether you're a seasoned wizard or new to the flippers, discover the thrilling combination of physics, strategy, and reflexes that makes pinball a beloved gaming tradition.

It would also be awesome if we could get the URL switched back to the old one at https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/pinball that appears to be unused now. Thank you! :)

    The pinball category doesn’t work now. Can you guys revert back whatever you recently changed?

    This started with a request to change the category image and description. (I made one and a few other streamers in the Pinball streaming community did as well.)

    Twitch support said to do so on IGDB. But /pinball wasn't linked to IGDB. IGDB said the /pinball url on Twitch was linked to the Wii U game. (But the Wii U game was actually not at that URL, it was at /pinball--2 with two dashes).

    They denied the changes. Twitch then deleted /pinball url category on Twitch and created another at /pinball-2 (one dash). That is the current one that we use. In the process they reassigned a bunch of old pinball VOD's to the IGDB game Play It Pinball at the url ending in /play-it-pinball (yellow icon with pinball). All of my old videos were assigned to this one for a day and some streamers still are. My VOD's and most others were fixed and linked to the new /pinball-2 category (generic icon/no description)

    I sent support another email and they said to post a User Voice post and another IGDB request. IGDB came back and said Twitch was wrong and that they couldn't do anything because "pinball isn't a game". So I sent that reply back to Twitch Support... and that's where we are at. It's messed up because the current Pinball category at /pinball-2 doesn't even have the "pinball" tag assigned to it.

    On mobile it's a bit more weird because the Pinball category that pops up first is the one linked to Play it Pinball, so you see streamers streaming in that category now instead of the actual Pinball one. Or some just stream in IRL or Just Chatting with the pinball tag on their stream, but if you go to the Pinball category you don't see their streams because Pinball doesn't have the pinball tag assigned to it.

    It's all lame and an easy fix. Reassign Pinball back to the /pinball URL, add the Pinball tag and add an image and description (I don't care if it's the image or description I linked... just something the community is cool. I love the Twitch pinball community and it's all fragmented at the moment.

    An easier and reliable method for content creators to make their content accessible to their viewers needs to be supported. Fixing and improving the pinball category will make it easier for viewers to find their favorite (and soon to be favorite) streaming channels.

    Yeah this needs to be fixed, because for the last week or so I have not been able to find my favorite Pinball streamers on the FireStick. Also yes, its Pinball which is a huge sport that often has 1000s of viewers at once. We deserve better graphics than a generic purple logo!

    "IGDB Admin says:
    Hi! Twitch sent you in the wrong direction, IGDB only tracks video games. We have also been trying to work with Twitch to have them manually create a category for this, please be patient. Thanks!"

    So hopefully they get it sorted out.

    Pinball as a streaming category needs to be correctly identified and allowed custom graphics. Completely agree.

    Twitch Support said to create a new IGDB game for the category...

    I've created this request: https://www.igdb.com/games/pinball--19/changes/2326848

    But... again, the current category at https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/pinball-2 just needs an image/description. No real need for a new game/url with /pinball--19 in it.

    So maybe approve the request with just the /pinball URL :) Thanks!

    Yes, it's very frustrating that the category doesn't work correctly now. It it shows the old purple logo with a number of viewers, until I click on it, and then I'm in an empty category with a different logo (presumably from a video game called pinball), and no live channels.
