Bits as universal currency stored in a twitch "wallet" and other monetization types.
- Do away with normal subscriptions, and subscribe with bits.
- Giveaway Bits by completing tasks such as watching ads.
- Make Bits more affordable.
This would simplify and consolidate transactions on twitch, I have like 30 transaction in my bank statement from subscriptions and bits.
Lowering the cost of bit should increase cash flow and creators feel more rewarded.
Also the use of something like banner ads on the streamers page can help both twitch and content creator profit from active viewers, without taking attention away from the stream like ad videos do.
By adding a "bits wallet" I can top off my wallet about once a month or set a threshold to autofill, this helps both members and twitch deal with less external transactions. I can store bits to exchange for goods, services and donations regulated by twitch and under applicable law to (for example) give to other creators, as giveaway to viewers as a content creator myself, and "withdraw" into my bank account whenever I decide to do so.
