Follower Emotes should be less than 5 slots
5 is way to big of a number to instantly unlock upon following.
It completely disincentives' the need to sub. I feel like a much better system would be max 3 emotes that unlock over time. For Ex: 10 mins- 6 hours- 24 hours following. In addition to this, if they're only usable in my channel, I may as well continue using BTTV / FFZ and encouraging users to install the browser add on.
A suggestion i saw made by a friend was that three would be perfect. FOR EXAMPLE: Hello, Love/Hype, and a Raid emote. Combine this with the request to make 1 emote usable site wide and its simplifies the process without forcing people away from subbing.
Currently 5 is way too much. Especially since both Affiliates and partners are getting 5. It just dilutes an already over crowded and poorly organized emote menu. And if what i'm seeing is correct, subs can't use follower emotes, it's entirely pointless. Why should someone be punished for spending their money with twitch by having their usable emotes reduced in my channel?

Agree, you can simply use 1 slot if you like. But I think it would be nice for those who follow over time to get other emotes for being a supporter. Like following 2-months, 4-months, 8-months, and finally 12-months would unlock the 2nd-5th slots. I think subs are also followers in general and should have this access to. All of this can be checked by followage.
