I would love for my followers and/or subs to use the base emotes everywhere, and I logged in here just to whistle out that I support this idea. I understand that making follower emotes automatically usable anywhere is kind of chaotic, so why not unlock them at tier 1 anyways?

It goes without saying that I would also love to use my own follower emotes everywhere else. I relegated basic emotions to follower emotes, so it's quite sad that my subscribers don't get access to those everywhere, including me during a raid!

This function is still in beta as I'm writing this, so I hope my feedback contributes to have an even nicer environment for users <3

I seem to be a little late to the party, but I really like the idea of subs having follower emotes everywhere. I can actually see myself using quite a few follower emotes all over twitch if I had the option

I disagree as the follower emotes offer me a streamer to have channel-specific emotes that only work in my channel.

emotes that are too channel-specific don't get used in other streams and thus don't attract people to check out the channel because of "cool emotes"

This also allows more branding of your channel and make it a better space to be.

@Twitch-Staff STOP limiting follower emotes! Make follower emotes euqal to all other emotes on the site! Follower emotes should be usable EVERYWHERE on Twitch in every chat, on every OS-plattform, as long as they are following me! This is the kind of limitation that makes people use BTTV FFZ etc! Who came up with this stupid limitation idea?

YES! I love using my own emotes, so it was a bummer to me to know that any emotes I pay my artist to make thy become follower emotes would really only be used by my chatters. I want a piece of the fun too! After all, they’re my emotes!!

Also, I think this would be a great way to let people try out emotes and still be able to use the ones they’ve grown accustomed to while obtaining new ones if they choosebto sub. Seems kind of weird to play around with certain emotes in chat, and then subscribe ksut to have completely different emotes to use elsewhere.

Absolutely agree to this. Currently, the streamer has to make the awkward decision between what emotes can be used by all followers and which ones can be used on other channels (even by themselves).

Allowing Follower Emotes to be used across all channels by Tier 1 Subscriptions further incentivizes current subscribers to continue subscriptions.

I think followers should be able to use the follow free emotes anywhere. Not just subscribers. At least, that is what I'd like my viewers to be able to do.

I'm loving the idea of the follower emotes. I would love it though that when they convert to a sub that they can then take those emotes to other channels or to discord with the twitch integration.

Follower emoticons should be counted as Tier-0.

Tier-3 subscriptions have always included emoticons for Tier-2 and Tier-1 subscribers. In the case of Tier-0, they must be included in any subscription and are available for use on other channels.

Having Follower emotes locked to your channel does make sense as a "welcome" sort of thing for non-Subs; but the incentive is kind of lost if once people Sub, they still can't use those emotes elsewhere. Emotes are also great exposure for each streamer on channels outside their own!

Due to the fact that you can't follow your own channel, affiliates should be allowed to use their follower emotes such as every else emote from their channel. The 2nd reason to be allowed to is marketing, so you can show/use every emote from your channel in other channels.

True. If anyone is making emotes or buying them for their followers, it would be nice to be given the opportunity to let the subscriber share them and of course the streamers themselves out of the channel.

I am actually baffled that this isn't how it is already. As a streamer I actually enjoy seeing my emotes used in other channels MUCH more than my own. And likewise I enjoy seeing the emotes others have collected in my chat and seeing cool or cute new ones. Having follower emotes locked to only your channel feels... weird and strangely restricting. It feels like a very niche thing. Having the follower emotes unlocked for global use when you sub is easily another incentive to sub to a streamer if you love their follower emotes.

I was thinking this and spoke with my chat about this. I think it could be really beneficial and help get exposure out there for some smaller affiliates who may not have too many sub slots as it is (such as myself). The follower emotes are a really cool idea and I think further allowing the usage to be spread to other channels can be helpful for the streamer and fun for the person with said emotes!

I think it would cool to use follower emotes everywhere! Because when I was first introduced or shown to the follower emotes I thought it was for every channel so I put some cute emotes as the follower so everyone could use for the channels and stuff but to find out it only works in my channel. It was kind of sad face. But I really hope twitch approves of this.

It's a great extra perk that adds to already being able to give people for free what on average costs streamers 30-40 $ investment per emote. 5 is limiting. Then you get follower emotes but oh gosh what's better to give people to use in other channels, I want this one for channel but it's the perfect raid command so I gotta keep it paywalled oh no... Bonus subscribers get essentially 2 packs of personal emotes? Yes plz let me give my subs more things built in to twitch

I think having follower emotes accessible globally for subscribers would help incentivize followers to become subscribers, and would also incentivize creators to put their best emotes as follower emotes. More high quality emotes and more subs sounds good to me!
