Give users an option to not show certain emotes
Give users the option to remove certain emotes so they don't show up in chat, like hiding all the Kpop emotes

I like this idea mainly because there are certain animated emotes which hurts my eyes, and I don't want to see it in my OBS settings nor in my own chat (in case others also are adverse to the emote(s))

I can't see an emote to someone who I once subbed without getting sick to my stomach. This is obviously a good idea in the emotes category and isn't one of the many "make this an emote" ideas. This should not prove difficult to implement and the silence of the staff on this issue is deafening. We need answers and no one is providing them. People want to use your platform safely and comfortably but as you can see we clearly can not when we are reminded of people who have hurt us because they appear across the entire platform in emote form...

There are times in which I unlocked bit emotes from a user I supported 4 years ago, who ended up becoming a bad person. I would love to just have a way to remove their bit emotes from showing up for the rest of time, or to be able to arrange them so I can put their emotes at the bottom.

A twitch streamer has been outed as a known child groomer and an overall ****** person. I sometimes see her emotes in other chats and I would like to never be reminded of her existence again.

I have had some issues with streamers who used to be good friends turning around and abusing me verbally until I had to ban and block them. But when we were friends I had given bits to them. Now when I look through my available emotes the ones I got from when I used to watch them keep coming up and I can't turn them off. It triggers me emotionally every time I see them because of what I went through. I wish I could turn them off some how.

Not just block channel emotes. I've personally had to use Nightbot to automatically delete the chats of anyone that uses the LUL emote because TotalBiscuit, the person featured in it, is known to have harassed women during GamerGate, and I've been on the receiving end of his neonazi cult following -- complete with fascist symbols in their profile pics. The trauma of seeing his face, being reminded that such an abusive attitude is more important to people than my own well-being and the well-being of the countless others he and others like him have destroyed through their harassment is beyond comprehension. If Twitch cared at all, they'd change that emote just like they did for pogchamp, but I'd settle for not having to rely on using an external source doing a better job than Twitch itself.

Let us block emotes by channel from being visible on our end of chat. Certain channels are filled with emotes I don't want to see that can be seen used anywhere on Twitch & I can't block myself from seeing them in chats without manually entering each of them into 3rd party extensions like BTTV with phrase blocking or blacklist functions.

Still have bit emotes for channels I have blocked. Why?

I would love to not have all the hype train emotes in my emote menu, every time I want to look up a hype emote from channels I'm subbed to, I'm being bombarded with hundreds of hype train emotes. Also certain emotes trigger me like the HypeCreep emote (the spider triggers my extreme arachnophobia and I literally had to blacklist it via BTTV settings)
Also would like to not have bit emotes from a channel I no longer wish to support. -

I've had an old friend blocked on twitch for over a year and see his emote every time I'm on twitch it shows up. I don't know if its a follower emote or what but i haven't followed or subbed in over a year and I literally have them blocked on twitch. It's so annoying just to see his name and emote every time I go to type in someones chat.

I have blocked a user on twitch for personal reasons. I used to watch his streams. Every time I go to use emotes, there is a permanent emote for his channel listed, despite me no longer following or subscribing and I have blocked the user. Please can there be a way for me to remove this as it bothers me to see him and his channel every time I go to use emotes when I have blocked them.

Twitch please give us the option to remove emotes from our list from people we've Blocked/Banned, they are blocked or banned for a reason.. Usually abusive or horrible people.
We don't want to see their content why keep their emotes in our slots?!

Twitch, please give us the option to manually remove emotes from Users we no longer follow/block or ban.
I had a situation last year where I was emotionally abused by a few twitch streaming groups and I went ahead and Blocked/banned them. I however still have their bit emotes in my chat box and it hurts whenever I see them and can cause Anxiety and stress..
I think I can speak for anyone with mental health and anxiety. We need this feature to feel more comfortable and feel we can actually use the platform! You have a duty as a company to incorporate this!
Think Twitch Think and implement this asap!

Please let us remove emotes we don't want.
I'm sick and tired of getting dumb, ugly emotes that I'll never use from Hype Trains or holiday events like the Christmas emotes or Pride emotes - I don't care about them, I don't use them, yet when I start writing an emote they pop up as the first choice if there's a similar streamer-related word for the emote; I follow someone who has their own KEK-emote, so when I go to write in :kek to quickly access the emote I want I instead get a stupid kpop or other global emote I've unlocked for some reason I don't care about.
It's great that there are so many global emotes available and unlockable for real world events, but if I don't care about them and actually DO NOT want them, why do I get them?

I would prefer not to see emotes from channels that I've followed or subbed too in the past. Some of these channels are either long gone or of some bad past nature. I do want to keep some for example: I know this channel is on vacation I want to continue supporting this channel. However I know of this other channel that no longer streams and they are not planning to return.

And yes, as a streamer, I have been bullied several times by this one mod. The channels she mods for keep showing up in my list. It really makes me ill to see this person’s own emote show up as well in some of those lists too. Agreed that Twitch should have the option to do this!

I second and third the comments by @crowley_87 and @BotLizz below. If you’re no longer interested in certain streamers for whatever reason, you shouldn’t have to see their ‘leftover’ emotes in your list every time you want to select an emote to use! Twitch, please pay mind to this!

crowley_87 commented
Please make this an option. Having to be reminded of a toxic/manipulative streamer I mistakenly supported in the past is very exhausting. Honestly very demotivating to use Twitch/other emotes when I see those I can't remove/hide.

This needs to happen!! I nor anyone else should have to see their abusers emotes!! There should be an option to opt out of it considering we paid to get it!! It makes no sense how you could allow this when we've blocked said person
