Give users an option to not show certain emotes
Give users the option to remove certain emotes so they don't show up in chat, like hiding all the Kpop emotes

Animated emotes can be turned off on the chat settings, protect yourself and use that option, posting it in case people didn't knew about it

I agree with Hybridx86 ( below ). I also have Epilepsy and find some of the extreme flashing ones scary for me. I don't want to have another seizure. I know animated emotes are fun, but they can trigger a seizure, especially if you are watching at night. Also, emote artists should be able to have access to the emotes they make for free, without having to subscribe to the streamer. Having to sub defeats he purpose of having made them for paying customers. You lose your money and then some. Please support emote artists. When an artist is given the artist badge, they should automatically be subbed to that channel. Emotes bring more subs to the channel, so it's not like the streamer loses out.

Ever since Twitch introduces GIF emotes some streamers have opted to make emotes that can trigger epilepsy. On more than one occasion mine has been triggered and I while I can report the emotes Twitch does not remove them and I still have to see them spammed. This is not a problem in a single channel but rather all across Twitch. This is a health issue and limits site wide accessibility.

still needs an option to hide or ideally remove unwanted emotes from my list when watching streams

Please give us the option to remove emotes from people that we unfollowed/blocked. I do not need to see an abusive person I blocked emotes on my list at the very top. Not sure why they even come up when I have unfollowed and am not subbed for well over a year.

This is utterly pathetic we still don't have this feature. I should not have to see somebody in my emote picker that has caused harm to many people because we supported them before we knew the problems. What about family friendly streamers? Maybe they don't want somebody's emote of women's panties or a dog spreading it's rear open (yes, that's an actual emote that was approved by Twitch) in their chats. Some people run streams that 13 year olds can watch, and I would argue Twitch is putting family friendly streams and younger viewers at risk by this oversight.
Banning the unwanted channel's emotes by manually adding them as banned words/phrases is not viable. I should not have to go to a channel (you could also be banned so this is not even possible) and look up the names of every emote and ban them individually. You would have to do this regularly as well, because people get new emotes all the time. I should be able to block a user's emotes in chat and from my personal emote picker. Not a wild concept and Twitch is still sleeping on this. I'm amazed I get emails and see posts about how Twitch is keeping our communities safe, but still has not touched this when it's easily one of the biggest and only issues I see in the daily usage of the platform. But yes, thank you for scaring gambling channels or whatever.

Twitch watchers have been complaining about the same thing over and over again in this forum.. It shouldn't be too hard to code and implement more customization within the twitch chat. We need to be able to remove permanent emotes from our menus whom we don't even follow anymore. Me and others have found it an UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE when we see emotes from streamers who we no longer support.

I'm sided with the multiple comments suggesting a way to either delete unused emotes that we dont want anymore or hide emotes/categories/channels that we dont want to see either. Me as many others have bad memories with some streamers that we want to have nothing to do with, and being locked into seeing their emotes everytime is really not helping anyone.

Have emotes for streamers that I am no longer affiliated with and want nothing to do with. Seeing their emotes in my sections is a pain because I need to scroll past them to get to emotes that I actually want to you. Please make it an option to hide or remove unwanted emotes from our lists.

Yes, please give us the option to control what emotes we see in the emote list. It takes forever to scroll down looking for a specific emote. Being able to hide streamers we are not subbed to or hide ANY emotes that show up in our list would be very much appreciated. I also find emotes from streamers I don’t sub to, don’t follow or have previously subbed or followed to showing up and it’s upsetting, especially if you had a bad personal experience with that person. I made an emote for someone ( customer ) who I ended up giving a refund to and I find it quite offensive and upsetting that they are still using this emote and it shows up in my emote category. Viewers need more control over what is seen in their emote list.

I have Emotes from channels:
A) I do not follow
B) I am not Subbed to
C) A channel I have blocked
D) A channel I have banned
E) A channel not associated/ affiliated/ or apart of in any way with. Not sure if this fits in, because most of the comment below are about rewards.
But yeah all 5 of those would be amazing to get fixed. -

Please, I have so many seasonal emotes that I rarely use. The option to hide them, beyond minimizing the tab, would be great. Turning them off would be even better!

Please do this. I have cheer emotes from streamers I had a bad experience with and would like to forget.

Being able to hide the bit emotes of someone who turned out to be highly abusive and caused you harm is such a basic thing that I'm bewildered this is not already implemented.

This needs to be a feature, even if FFZ can do the same thing. FFZ is not an option on mobile devices, streaming devices, or consoles. When I happen to not be using my own PC with FFZ installed, I would really prefer not to see emotes from people I no longer wish to acknowledge.

I like this idea. Being able to hide certain emotes would be so wonderful!

I like this idea mainly because there are certain animated emotes which hurts my eyes, and I don't want to see it in my OBS settings nor in my own chat (in case others also are adverse to the emote(s))

I can't see an emote to someone who I once subbed without getting sick to my stomach. This is obviously a good idea in the emotes category and isn't one of the many "make this an emote" ideas. This should not prove difficult to implement and the silence of the staff on this issue is deafening. We need answers and no one is providing them. People want to use your platform safely and comfortably but as you can see we clearly can not when we are reminded of people who have hurt us because they appear across the entire platform in emote form...

There are times in which I unlocked bit emotes from a user I supported 4 years ago, who ended up becoming a bad person. I would love to just have a way to remove their bit emotes from showing up for the rest of time, or to be able to arrange them so I can put their emotes at the bottom.

A twitch streamer has been outed as a known child groomer and an overall ****** person. I sometimes see her emotes in other chats and I would like to never be reminded of her existence again.
