Allow viewers to rent single emotes with Bits
The Problem:
Currently, to get access to a specific emote, a viewer must subscribe to a channel. This system works well for supporting a favorite streamer, but it creates a problem for viewers who only want a specific emote they've seen in another chat. Many people don't want to commit to a monthly subscription for a channel they don't regularly watch, just to get one or two emotes.
The Solution:
Introduce an option to "rent" single emotes for a limited time (e.g., 30, 60, or 90 days) using Twitch Bits.
How it would work: Viewers could go to a streamer's channel, browse their list of available emotes, and select a specific one to "rent" for a set amount of Bits. The cost could be proportional to the rental duration.
Benefits for Viewers: This gives viewers more flexibility and control. They can use the emotes they love without the long-term commitment of a subscription.
Benefits for Streamers: This creates a new, alternative revenue stream. Streamers would receive a portion of the Bits spent on their emotes, providing them with more ways to monetize their content.
Benefits for Twitch: It encourages more engagement with the Emote system and the Bits economy, potentially leading to more transactions and a more vibrant community overall.
