Unlock each emote as the level is beaten rather than the highest emote from the train.
Right now if you complete a level 100 Hype Train you will only get KappaInfinite instead of getting BleedPurpleHD, HeyHeyGuys, and PogChomp as well. This leads viewers to feel like they are ripped off because this generally isn't how game progression works.
When we beat a level we expect a reward from that level to be unlocked. We do not expect that reward to be overwritten by a higher level forcing us to have to do it again to unlock the lower tier reward. This is a normal tenet of game design and should apply to Hype Train rewards as well.

You need to get each reward as you pass it like any normal game progression. It is ridiculous to think you have to keep doing super high hype trains and stopping at each reward to get it.

The current implementation would only make sense if it was one emote that got more elaborate as the level raised. Like learning a new ability in a game, and it gets more powerful as your proficiency goes up.
Since the emotes are different, it should unlock every emote from the bottom, up to the highest level reached.

This design doesn't make sense. If your intent was to give us a token to remember the overall train event from, then let the community add a custom emote to the event, like the new :didIBreakIt: emote

In addition to PirateSoftware's statement regarding normal game progression and the disappointment of not receiving all of the awards, the advertisement surrounding the implementation of these new reward emotes was also misleading. Without clarification, one would expect to unlock each emote as they passed that level in the Hype Train.
Receiving only one emote has led to disappointment and has shaken the trust of the Twitch community members and has left people preferring to not donate to a hype train, period. This is a negative for Twitch, the streamers on this platform, and all Twitch users. These users will likely find other means to support their streamers that bypasses Twitch due to loss of trust in the platform, even if it was not intended.

Agree with PirateSoftware and also the UI needs to be clear at the time of subscribing, gifting, bits, etc.. that if you do it anonymously you will not receive the rewards.

Reminds me of the first Golden Kappa train on AdmiralBahroo's channel.
The Twitch UI clearly stated that the Golden Kappa would be a permanent reward. It was not. It was later clarified, but many people felt scammed. Twitch needs to put more work into very clearly communicating these things in the Hype Train UI, and properly test those systems.I've gotten 3/5 emotes from the train, other got 4/5, or 5/5. There's no reason or rule.
Please, test your features properly. -

In addition to PirateSofteare's absolutely correct statement regarding normal game progression and the disappointment of not receiving all of the awards, the advertisement surrounding the implementation of these new reward emotes was also misleading. It made it look as though all of the emotes would be granted during a hype train that reached these levels rather than just one. Only receiving one emote has led to disappointment and has shaken the trust of the Twitch community members and has left people preferring to not donate to a hype train, as shown by many comments. This is a negative for Twitch, the streamers on this platform, and all Twitch users. The users will likely find other means to support their streamers that bypasses Twitch due to loss of trust in the platform.

I didn't even get the KappaInfinite emote, I got BleedPurpleHD. Which is only for a level 10 hype train. As confirmed to me by twitch support today, you can only get one emote per hype train. This is deeply upsetting. I thought that I, like so many other people, was a part of something amazing. And we were. But now that moment feels tarnished. Never supporting another Hype train again.

Due to this policy I see no reason to donate during any Hype Train. I agree with PirateSoftware and this should be changed.

I completely agree with PirateSoftware, and would like to bring up the issue that this removes the ability for a user to at all choose what emote they can get, for example, say that a user wants to get BleedPurpleHD and so donate during a hype train, but if other people also donate too much it makes it impossible to earn that emote, they get a different emote and are forced to do a different train, this feels terrible for the user.

While I understand rewarding all of the emotes could potentially remove the incentive for future hype trains to the users who "already got theirs", participating and not being rewarded with all of the rewards you make it through is also removing incentives for participating in hype trains.
Perhaps a solution is to create more emotes. A special emote or two added into the train for each category available on Twitch? The level 75 train is noticeably empty on the reward progression.

Completely agree with Thor, hurts that we only get the highest emotes. Hope Twitch can change it for the better, but I appreciate the effort from Twitch in handling the distribution of emotes so far tho.

As a participator of the hype train i would think that you should get at least the rewards of the lvl you participate in or from the lvl you start participating in.

It only makes sense to earn the reward for progressing and completing the level.
