Unlock each emote as the level is beaten rather than the highest emote from the train.
Right now if you complete a level 100 Hype Train you will only get KappaInfinite instead of getting BleedPurpleHD, HeyHeyGuys, and PogChomp as well. This leads viewers to feel like they are ripped off because this generally isn't how game progression works.
When we beat a level we expect a reward from that level to be unlocked. We do not expect that reward to be overwritten by a higher level forcing us to have to do it again to unlock the lower tier reward. This is a normal tenet of game design and should apply to Hype Train rewards as well.

I agree with all that PirateSoftware says, when in the moment, I'm not thinking about stopping donations and getting others to stop, so I can get a specific emote. why would it be structured this way?

THIS. Feelsbad to feel the need to stop a train to get an emote and then start again for the others.
An alternative solution to encourage subsequent hype trains would be to release seasons of tiered rewards regularly, so participants can get the new emotes, and have a chance at past rewards on later trains.

I was part of PirateSoftware's 106 Hype train. When I finally got my rewards and only found I had PogChomp, KappaInfinite, and DidIBreakIt and nothing else, and then found out that I *wasn't* supposed to have PogChomp or the other ones made me deeply upset. To me, it makes no sense that breaking level 100 and getting THE WORLD RECORD wouldn't give us all of the emotes.

Seeing as the Hype Train seems to "gamify" the participation of the audience of a stream it feels like leveling up a couple of times but not getting skill points for each level but only for the last one because you gained multiple levels at once.

Agreed, it's counter intuitive to us as gamers especially on a platform geared towards gamers

This is very eloquently stated. There are plenty of random hype train emotes that can be given as one offs; the special ones definitely need to be cumulative. Not being cumulative leaves a bad impression as a supporter of the site and streamers.

Received 3 out of 5 emotes in the 106 record hype train. I expected to get all 5 and was very disappointed to find out that it is not currently intended to hand out all reached emotes.
This would be a very good change.

I didn't receive anything at all. So it feels like the underlying system to do this is broken in general. So not only should a gamified system that encourages community engagement, the whole community should gain the cumulative reward, and there should be better systems in place to deal with this

I agree. It makes us feel left out and that our contribution was overlooked for forgotten when we accomplish something like that.

I was part of the Level 106 Hype Train and I did not receive BleedPurpleHD and HeyHeyGuys (I already had PogChomp from a previous HypeTrain). Unlocking rewards should be cumulative. It feels like a cash grab to make us support a new hype train just to get the lower reward.

I'm a lucky one to have gotten 4/5 after like 12+ hours but I didn't get HeyHeyGuys. There is definitely something wrong.

This is exactly how i see it as well. if you achieve the highest level, it should not invalidate the former achievement of reaching the lower level. That feels just wrong.

lets say that the community gets a high level in hype train first try and they only get 1 emote why and how would the organise it to get every other emote that just seems stupid

i feel ripped off not getting all the emotes from the train. and makes me not want to participate anymore.

I thought this was how hype trains used to work anyway!

It doesn't feel good to have participated, but only receive 2/5 of the Hype Train's rewards. Feels like an oversight to separate viewers on what they receive for what should feel like a community achievement.
