create a reward for the spectators who participated the most in the chat of the same channel
give a badge or other reward to users who have written a lot on a same channel (about 10k messages for example)

I'm worried this will greatly encourage spammers. Not to mention, I have often noticed that if there is mainly one person chatting that this can discourage other chatters. Don't forget you can always VIP a viewer/chatter if you feel they deserve it for any reason you choose - that's a great reward that is usually very much appreciated.
