It's very important that captions are not censored. I am hard of hearing but some users are completely deaf or have more difficulty hearing than I do.

The purpose of captions is to show, verbatim, what is being said by somebody. If I can hear somebody curse in the stream I should be able to read that in the captions. Full stop.

This is a part of a disturbing trend of closed captions automatically censoring words. This is infantilizing hard of hearing people and is antithetical to the purpose of Closed Captions, which is to make things accessible for those of us who have trouble hearing.

Please be on the forefront of making Closed Captions the way they are intended to be, an accessibility feature that lets us hear what is being said.
