Combos needs some urgent attention. Spamming, and noises.
Currently, combos are unaffected by any rate limiting, and because they scroll the chat, it takes little effort to make chat a mess with combo messages - especially since 5bits will scroll it.
It also causes the "plink" sound to trigger each time - which is extremely aggravating when someone spams the combos.
Things that need immediate attention:
1) A "minimum level" needs to be selectable for how many bits are required before a chat message is generated.
2) Similar to #1, a bit level for when a noise is triggered needs to be selectable. Best if these are two different settings.
3) The chat messages should be controlled by RATE LIMITING - at least if a channel is in slow mode, but better if a global "combo rate limit" (per cheerer) can be set -- e.g. one per second.
4) Allow streamers to make normal "cheers" NOT trigger a combo message. e.g., if a chatter does "cheer123", it should just do a normal cheer, and not ALSO show a combo message. This is just more chat spam.
Right now, the only option is for a streamer to COMPLETELY TURN OFF combos.
All of these should be CONFIGURABLE OPTIONS - some people may want the current behavior, but I guarantee most streamers I know would just like to have better control over the combos. Right now, they are a serious annoyance.
Thank you for listening :)

Agree wholeheartedly! What are we even doing here...?

I agree with limited the amount of noises triggered, and making it every so often, or set to a higher amount to be triggered. Also, not having the whole chat filled with the bit message, pushing the chat up, and cluttering it up.

It would be really nice to have more control over some customizable settings!

I mod for over 20 channels and can agree that some sort of control over combos has been mentioned by over half of them.
