Add a feature to turn off the power-up feature
What if a streamer doesn't want the power-ups to clutter up their channel points?

Please add this, I dont want random stuff to cover the stream I'm watching ever.

This is incredibly intrusive at best, harmful at worse. On-screen celebration and chat effects are an accessibility issue- it's extremely probable that they can cause problems to those who have visual-based disabilities like epilepsy. Please give us a toggle so that our viewers cannot be hurt like this and can concentrate on the thing they are there for- the stream and streamer.

Every streamer wants more discoverability options, no streamers want features like this. Why do you keep adding features no one wants and not adding the features everyone has been asking about for years?

They need to let us turn this off. I don't want bits in my channel point redeems and I want control over what appears in my chat and control over what appears on the screen. And it shouldn't be above the channel point redeems, either. It ruins the user experience to have to scroll through bits redeems to get to the channel point redeems.
And you know, it's fine to roll out a feature, but it's also only part working - bits don't even show up as being redeemed in the channel, there's only some settings in the viewer rewards section on the dashboard for changing the feature. I can limit and time out some interactions but not others.
This is actually worse than Hype Chats. Well done.

ADD A TOGGLE FEATURE FOR BOTH THE REWARDS TAB AND THE CHAT COMMANDS SO WE HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OVER THINGS THAT YOU ADD TO YOUR PLATFORM. NOT EVERYONE WANTS THE SAME THINGS AS A STREAMER AND I ONLY LIKE THE CHAT POWER UPS SO FOR NOW ITS 10000 FOR ANYONE TO USE THE ONES I DONT LIKE JUST SO THEY DONT USE THEM

Streamers should be in control of what shows up on their own streams. Viewers should not be forced to sit through an on-screen "celebration" when they just want to watch the streamer do their thing or have to scroll through a bunch of giant emotes and chunky message effects just to have a conversation in chat. All users should have the option to turn these intrusive things off.

Nice to have new things but give us the ability to turn this off. I spend hours producing self-made graphics and features already. This only add confusion on my streams. i do my own alerts with bits no need something that looks that much invasive that dont help on the experience of the content i do or how i do. Thank you!

"We want streamers to have flexibility in how these interactions are used in their channels," the blog post on power-ups states, yet we cannot opt out of this new feature entirely. Please give us this option.

Having these forced on for my channel is rather unwanted. They seem too "Hype" and disruptive. I prefer keeping a relatively chill vibe on my stream.
To act as a temporary disable, I am making these as expensive as possible, and replacing the redeem icon with a struck through circle "No" symbol. I'm also not a fan of the bit redeems being crammed in with my normal redeems, let alone at the TOP.
My community has already been notified of my decision for transparency. -

in what year do we live that you can seriously believe in adding a feature without the option to turn it of? That shows a high level of incompetence

Absolutely do not want this garbage so at the least let us be able to disable it!

I would LOVE to see this feature become completely modular and optional. I see moving this to the bits tab where its initiated in the first place being the best place to add clutter. NOT our channel points tab.
Thanks for creating this forum page

Agreed. This is a disgusting removal of streamer agency combined with more predatory nonsense I'd rather not subject my viewers to.

Very happy to see new features being introduced! Keep it up . Also , Please give us the ability to turn this off. Many of us have spent countless hours producing self-made quality graphics and features that utilize bits already. This will only add confusion on streams that have worked hard for their own design. Thank you!

both streamers and viewers should be able to disable this feature, it is quite literally an obstruction, we should have the option =)

Being able to disable this would be very nice. First time I saw it was while I was watching someone play Apex and it's quite annoying/distracting.

Agreed! No problem with the features themselves personally, but having the option to turn them off/on individually is necessary. We should have full control over our channels after all :)

I do like they come with new features but they need to communicate with their users before releasing or testing features like this. Its a waste to shelf it after a year or two down the line.

This needs to be optional, my entire environment is low sensory. We shouldn't be forced to partake in a program that causes our entire brand to be distrupted.

I'm okay with the text highlight. Everything else is too much. I would rather have an option to turn these off and have more control over my streams. My streams are more chill, typically co-working. This is distracting and doesn't apply to all types of content on Twitch. Allow us flexibility.
