Add a feature to turn off the power-up feature
What if a streamer doesn't want the power-ups to clutter up their channel points?

Please let us turn this off completely.

I like the idea of giant emotes and message effects, but I do NOT want the on screen effects at all. There are also plenty of people who wouldn't want to use any of it. We NEED this feature to be an optional toggle. For now the only way to "turn them off" is to make the bit requirements extremely high and limit the number of redemptions per stream, which is a silly work around. Please fix this Twitch.

I am worried about the photosensitivity issues this could cause. Can there please be an off option?

make sure that we streamers can disable this mode, I don't want this ******** in my chat, and at the moment I had to put these rewards at 1,000,000 bits so that no one can use these rewards

Between not being able to disable the feature (not even temporarily for emotional moments in a game), zero control over what emotes are used, and a lack of notification for the streamer, the way Power-ups are currently implemented is horrible. The concept has potential, but in their current state, I just want to remove the "feature" entirely.

I'd like the option to turn off the power-ups I don't want, potentially all of them. Thanks.

Yeah needs to be toggleable for times when the streamer may not want visual disruptions over important parts of stream...

Please give viewers and streamers the option to deactivate this power-up feature. It is really annoying in some situations. Let the streamers and viewers decide if they want to use or see the effects of this.

Why are people who take part in the feedback sessions for streamers organized by Twitch - so that streamers can report back to the management what is bad and what they would like to see - being lied to?
Why do the streamers take part if the streamers are told in the feedback session, in response to the exact question about the feature, that it can be switched off and it is not now.
What do you gain from this? Nothing.
You're just spreading more mistrust. -

I hate this. And I especially hate that we can't turn it off. I don't want showers of emotes on my stream. Especially emotes that I did not choose to use on my channel. If I did, I'd have set something up allowing this.
What I hate the most is that they want people to pay real money for temporary effects. It is ridiculous. If these were new ways to use channel points, that'd be one thing, but it's not.
Even if it were a new way to use channel points, we should still have the power to decide whether or not we want it on our channel. Not everyone wants to be a part of a frenetic, chaotic stream; either hosting it or watching it. We should get to decide how we represent ourselves and our content.
As an aside, Twitch says we're responsible for what appears on our stream, to make sure that it's appropriate and that it doesn't violate any copyrights, IPs, etc. And then they do something like this, where we have no control over what appears on our stream. What do they expect us to do with this?

from all the clips i've seen, it destroys bitrates and ruins the viewing experience of the people viewing

I'm not a fan of having this type of disruptive redeem superseding my own channel point rewards, especially on a stream people use to chill out and calm down. Please make this adjustment. This does not match everyone's energy.

introducing a new feature forcefully turned on with no option to turn off was and continues to be a monumentally bad idea.

Good idea, terrible implementation. Give us a toggle.

The fact that ppl can redeem ANY emote is just stupid.
As others has explained, as a mod it's a nightmare, you either have to set the price so high it'll dissuade most people, or 4-5 ppl can completely take over a chat with this garbage.
And let's not forget, as I mentioned first, it's a "REALLY GREAT IDEA!!!" to have ppl be able to use ANY emote, cause nothing derails a stream of "real talk" with an assault victim, than some jiggly butt emote dancing across the stream....
Imagine how the next stream of a CS2 Major.... viewers who just wants to enjoy a great game between 2 good teams.. now have their experience completely ruined by garbage dancing across their stream constantly, with zero option for them to turn it off.
