Fix the Ads for Bits
I love the idea for supporting streamers with bits but frankly I don't have the money to spend on bits, so that's why I rely on the free bits from ads, but one time after watching an ad it says "Try again later" under the Watch Ad button. At first I thought "Ok. I'll just watch more tomorrow" but it still said "Try again later" and it has been like that for months so I gave up checking at this point. If you could fix this or at least ease on the time you need to wait between ads. Maybe like one or two ads a week and these ads can stack, (for example if I don't watch my two ads for one week I can watch 4 ads next week and if I don't watch those 4 ads, next week I can watch 6 ads, and so on.)
Of course the "two ads per week" is just yet another suggestion, you can tailor it to however you feel fit. I just at least want a way of knowing "Hey! I watched all my ads. I can wait until _______ to watch another one." instead of relying on what feels like random luck to watch another ad.
Hey everyone -
Today we’ve made the decision that we will no longer be offering Ads for Bits. Instead, we will be turning our attention to our newest ad formats like Multiplayer Ads, which allow you to vote in polls and reward Bits to your favorite creators.
The goal for Ads for Bits was to help make cheering available for everyone and we will continue to push forward with that goal, just in different ways.
We appreciate your feedback and interest in Ads for Bits since its initial launch, and hope you will continue to offer suggestions around future ads products.

Over on YouTube, I can turn off all ads. People don't see pre-roll, mid-stream, or any ads at all. I have them all turned off.
I just learned today on Twitch that my viewers are seeing my stream interrupted by ads. I kept looking for a way to turn that off, and I couldn't find one.
You are making money on bits. You are making money on subscriptions. You are making more on both of these than YouTube makes on paid subscriptions and Super Chats. YouTube takes 30%.
If we are making you money through bits and subscriptions, we should be able to turn off ads completely. I have been trying to move my YouTube subscribers to watch on Twitch with the promise of less delay and more features. But if our stream is going to be interrupted by ads every few minutes, I imagine my audience is smart enough to watch live on YouTube unless they pay to subscribe on Twitch. That's worse for you and for me.
My audience now feels blackmailed. They don't want to have to pay to remove ads. I don't want to make ad money. Streamers want to make ad money, good, they can turn this on. I would rather create a better user experience for my audience and have no ads even if it means I make less money.
I saw that there was a previous investigation or something around ads, but I wonder if anybody researched with the audience. You might have learned what creators want when they want ad revenue, but did you learn what viewers prefer? Did you learn what creators prefer when they DON'T want to make ad revenue?
Please please please consider good CX and UX, and allow those of us making Twitch money in other ways to turn off ads like YouTube allows us to do. Thank you.

As of about two weeks ago I have only been able to watch ads for bits 3 times. In the past I had had no issue with this. I've tried edge and vivaldi browsers on windows and firefox on ubuntu. I do not know what the problem is and none of the articles on the internet have been helpful. Help would be greatly appreceated.

The answer is simple, the ads are only for a desired demographic of Twitch, you will find American users will have access to more ads than Europeans.
It is rather rubbish, and to be bluntly honest Twitch hasn't really went out to seek for European ads, the only time they do work is when an American brand has allowed global usage.
There is an alternative to join their Research Group, that allows users to do surveys for bits, again these a limited and mostly favour American users.
Again it is silly with Europe or Asia having a larger commercial base than North America, you would think they would want to capitalise on it. Nope.

MsGranny watching the ads doesn't provide ad rev for the streamer, only when u donate the bits.

I can find reddit posts from as far back as 2010 stating that watching ads for bits is broken and stuck in "try again later" mode. We deserve an explanation and a remedy Twitch!

Yes, I have never watched ads for bits and tried and it says "try again later". Also, does watching ads for bits also provide the ad revenue to the streamer?

There is no way to change the language of the video ads we watch to earn the 5 extra bits!! I keep getting Spanish ads when my setting is set to English

fix the ads for bits, meaning when your watching an ad and it finishes it shouldn't say "try again later" after watching ("ONE AD"). and never give another ad until the next day or in some peoples cases weeks, months, or years.
