search archived videos by stream id The get-videos API (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-videos) takes either a video id, user_id, or game_id, but does not take a stream_id, so if you want to find the VOD from a stream ID you captured while the stream was live, you have to search back through a user's videos and match them up, which is not super efficient, especially if the stream is old. Could you add stream_id as a possible query parameter please?
Thanks,

Soundtrack: recently played Please provide an API to obtain the recently played songs on a channel (including the timestamp when played)
This will allow bots to catch up if they restart and/or provide a recently played function without having to store that internally.

Extend Soundtrack Current Track to include when the song started playing on the channel An extension/follow up to https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/41519041-provide-soundtrack-now-playing-information-for-a-s
Please extend the response to include when the song started playing on the channel.
This will allow developers to reduce spamming the endpoint by only loading/requesting when the song is predicted to end. (Start time + duration)
This could also be solved with EventSub (https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/44672968-add-a-soundtrack-topic-to-eventsub)

Add "is_live" field in /channels endpoint response Currently, the only API endpoint which can return the current status of the channel is /search/channels, which contains a "is_live" boolean attribute.
So when I want to know if a channel (knowing its ID) is live through the API, the only way is by calling /channels first to get the channel name, then by calling /search/channels with the channel name, and finally sort the results to find the correct channel.
This is excessively time and ressources consuming, for both developpers and Twitch servers (two API call instead of just one). Would be great to add a "is_live" field in /channels…

PubSub documentation for "low-trust-users" thingies at is missing The documentation for the new user monitoring thingy in PubSub has not been added yet.
https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/pubsub
So that it can be used to detect these messages and do certain events, just like the automod messages when it catches filtered messages.

Login I have developed a Twitch app and now want to publish it in the Google Play Store.
Google would like to have valid login credentials to check my app that won't expire.
Can you give me a user with a password and token that won't expire?1 vote -

Adding phone_verified and email_verified to Get Users API I would like to request that the booleans phoneverified and emailverified be added to the Get Users API.
email_verified was already a part of the v5 Get User endpoint.
The reason for this is because I would like to create an app that uses the Twitch API that would only allow access to users that have a verified phone number, to prevent/reduce spam from malicious users.

Add broadcaster_software field to Helix videos API The V5 videos API returns a field called
broadcaster_software
which contains the ID of the software used when broadcasting the video (if known to Twitch). This allows callers to identify if the stream was broadcast on consoles (Playstation or XBox) which is useful to determine the origin of a video. As V5 API is being shut down soon, It would be great if this was formalized in the Helix videos API and documented with known values for the various consoles.

Extend Games API to return the Slug/URL for that directory if you lookup a game by name or ID, it doesn't return what the URL for that game's Twitch Directory is.
So there is no way to do linking from a game search page to the directory to find streamers via Twitchs site, rather than doing a chained streams lookup third party side.

Expose Games/Chapters on the Videos API There's currently no way to view the games/chapters on a video. This would be very useful for an application I'm building

Add endpoint to retrieve channel analytics/statistics Add endpoints to retrieve Channel statistics, either returning the data in JSON or just a way to programatically get the csv (the one the Creator Dashboard has).
As a third option, you can also make the GQL API available and provide documentation for it.
This is mostly needed because for many twitch is a business, and part of growing it is the ability to interpret this data and change accordingly.

I need some help. I am looking for a developer who can easily integrate twitch with my website https://cloptoncapital.com/. I tried a lot by myself but nothing happened. So if you have any information about it then please do let me know. Thank You2 votes -
Add an endpoint to provide a user's chat rate limits Currently, the only way for a bot to know its chat limits is by hard-coding them. Even using the (undocumented?) user chat info endpoint isn't sufficient to determine what hard-coded limits to apply today, since whisper limits depend on when an account was verified.
It would be much better for a bot to query a (documented) endpoint and retrieve its rate limits in that way.

Please make the suspicious users feature available to mods The new suspicious users feature should be available to third-party moderation tools.
A lot of moderators use third-party tools and it would be quite important to at least be able to see the messages/warnings. It would be even better if changing the restricted/monitoring state of a user would be possible as well.
This would be akin to the great AutoMod API, which provides mods with a PubSub topic for detailed real-time information and Helix endpoints for handling messages.

Add Native OAUTH RFC Implementation Add support for RFC8252 (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8252#section-7.1) which allows for users to specify custom scheme URI's for OAUTH callback urls. This would allow native application developers to not have to piggyback through a server and instead they can configure their applications to handle these schemes for confirming the oauth callback, for example
my-app-name:/authorization?code=XXXXX
