Video Performance

How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

Category: PROBLEM WITH SERVER IN PERU COUNTRY

Summary: the vast majority of colleagues from my country Peru, lately are having problems with the stream, the solution would be the possibility of opening a server in LIMA, PERU. since several internet companies are limited by the bandwidth in my country.

  2. Better Server

I would be happy in the future if the server capacity in Berlin, Kiel, Bremen, Rostock and Hamburg is increased, as there are increasing problems with the video output of the streams!

  3. server improvements

this has been ongoing since i joined and streamed on twitch, the servers need to be vastly improved on website, every stream i watch or try to stream to platform keeps lagging/crashing and auto tunes to 160p. i keep getting random errors ranging from unable to decod or not available on browser. i have tried many browsers and this happens on all. microsoft edge it the worst.

this is riduculus that this has not been addressed for so long.

  4. 1 Stream Server is needed in Hamburg, Germany

I know we already have a few servers in Germany, but wouldn't it be better to have another server in Hamburg to provide an alternative server for Denmark, as the servers are a bit far away from Norway and Sweden, then I think we have a good server structure in Germany to provide an alternative for other countries.

  5. Enhanced Broadcasting variability under load — EB degrading on weekends

I'm having issues where my internet and encoder are fine and under no pressure. Yesterday I ran into 3 separate instances where I'm using EB and my frames are dropping constantly. According to twitch inspector all my hardware/internet was working properly but something happened on the way to or at the ingest server which made my stream crash multiple times. I'm sure this is not a hardware issue as I've been using EB successfully for a couple weeks now. Didn't know where else to bring it to attention, thanks for your time.

  7. ingest server

Twitch needs a Texas, Florida and New York Server for streamers who are local to the South Central and East side of the Country.

Having only 3 ingest servers is not good for the streaming community and I notice some of these servers keep giving me dropped frames after being live for about 2-4hours.

Please Add in more Ingest servers across North America and Add in Av1 encoding with a higher bitrate cap so we as streamers can provide a better quality viewing experience.

    Thank you
