Suspension feedback
Twitch needs a way for community feedback to be given when a streamer is suspended or banned. It should not be expected that the company has all the insights into the nuances of difficult topics, but that does not excuse the company for making poor decisions. Letting the community around a streamer provide input into a suspension / ban would help Twitch better evaluate if a streamer is being reported due to malicious actors and gain insights into the reality of a complex topic a streamer is engaging in. And when evaluating community feedback, you should prioritize community members who have subscribed and have high number of hours watched (recently, since a suspension would likely be for recent streams). This way you can also avoid bad actors from claiming to be members of the community.
Twitch has a history of making bad decisions around suspensions. Especially in situations where malicious narratives are spun up to mischaracterize the streamer being suspended. Twitch takes it upon themselves to handle these suspensions, but ultimately fails to properly evaluate the legitimacy; instead, opting to do whatever gives the company the best cover so they don't get bad press rather than upholding any sort of values. Yet, at the same time, they claim these are "communities". But don't appear to take into account that community.
Not having an option for a community, who has deeper insights into their streamer, to provide feedback is a huge mistake. Take for example Hasasnabi. He covers difficult and often times controversial topics and educates his audience on the nuances. He streams for so many hours per week that it is very easy for people who disagree with him to clip him and take a nuances discussion and make it seems like he is a bad actor. Twitch does need to moderate, but they also need to realize we are in a moment where free speech is being eroded and malicious actors are seeking to shut down voices who push back on established media narratives; there is no question that Israel is committing a genocide. And that government will do whatever it can to keep the critics quiet so they can achieve their goals. We CANNOT conflate being opposed to the actions of the government of Israel as antisemitism; to do so risks allowing a great atrocity to be committed. Twitch needs a moderation policy that can enable streamers on the right side of history to counter harmful narratives. Lies spread so easily in the modern day and it's easy to twist what someone is saying into something else -- Twitch's policies desperately need to take this into account.
