Experiment - Verified Chatting
If Twitch for example does an experiment with having verified chatting in every stream please give us a notice on socials or even on Twitch itself. Also an option to opt out of it would be nice but I understand that verifying your phone is the future of Twitch. Since this test is not being done to every Twitch user only a select few I think it's fair to have that opt out option. A percentage will just verify phone and that's the data that Twitch wants anyway.
It's been over 24 hours. Still can't chat and the sad part was that even Reddit mods/helpers didn't understand our complaints and we got massively downvoted until I just read on that post that somebody sent you guys a ticket and got a response that we can leave our opinion here.

I've gotten nothing but useless canned responses and will be cancelling my subs and closing my account due to this.

I can't chat either. I do NOT want to give my phone number out anywhere, that includes twitch. Phone scams are a scary and too real problem.

And Twitch even refuses to ackowledge that this is happening. This is beyond unprofessional (albeit on par for their owner, Amazon).
I'm usually just a lurker, but even if I don't have much to say in chat, having the option taken away from me for no good reason is annoying at best. -
