Remove hate groups
Remove the hate group that spreads misinformation and hate mongering while promoting abuse towards autistics and replace it with Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network.

And an actual video from Autism Speaks where they glorify killing us (TW: I'm not kidding. They glorify a parent wanting to kill their kid for being autistic)
Our goal is to provide streamers with a wide variety of charitable organizations and enable them to decide who to support. The scale of this program may mean that people within our community may not agree with or support all of the included organizations, even if they are currently compliant with our policies.
Twitch partners with the PayPal Giving Fund, and they monitor charities on a daily basis for verification of their 501(c)(3) status in country-specific registries, compliance with PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, and more. We don’t allow charities that violate our hateful conduct policies on Twitch, or whose organization or leadership engage in or promote behaviors that violate our Off-Service policy. At this time, this organization does not violate our Off-Service policy.
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We’ve added a number of charities that support Autism-related causes, including the Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network, based on feedback from the community. We encourage you to continue sharing charities you would like to see included or that you believe may violate our policies so we can evaluate. You can learn more about charity on Twitch in our help article.

As an autistic man myself, I always found autism speaks to be more about "fixing" me rather then providing information that assists people of the spectrum. It doesn't give valid information, and it lets others speak over us or for us as though we're not people. Some of us have been greatly effected by this so-called "organization" that it's damaging to have it partnered and allowed on this platform. Something needs to be done.

No autistic friend of mine has EVER spoken a single kind word about Autism Speaks. Get them out of here.

Twitch allowing this group on their platform is disgusting and is only going to lead to more misinformation being spread and more autistic people being hurt. Remove Autism Speaks now and add charities that ACTUALLY support autistic people like Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network (AWN), and other pro-advocacy organizations suggested by the community. Hate groups should NOT be allowed on Twitch.

As someone who is recently realizing they are autistic, having a group wanting to "cure" me for just how I am is so so hurtful. I am learning to love and accept every autistic bit about me, and having a group's mission to erase that makes me feel the hate I experienced all my life. Please remove them, Twitch!!

Ahamkeira commented
Please do. Twitch supporting them really scares me because they hurt me and my sisters very badly

Autism Speaks has been condemned by the Autistic community for years. The fact that they are still being uplifted here is very saddening and disappointing.

it’s honestly so scary that companies are still working with Autism Speaks. Autistic people have been saying how harmful it is for years but these ******** never listen.

Wait, they're here? I thought it was well known this group is ****. What the ****?

Remove autism speaks. Seriously. Just ******* remove it. They do not speak for us, they actively speak over us and the money donated to them is actively used to harm us.

Please remove Autism Speaks from your charity list. They're well known for hurting autistic people, not helping them. Autism is not a problem to be fixed!

Listen to autistic people. This hate group is disgusting. Their focus is eugenics and demonising autism. Remove this "charity" or watch your autistic creators pack up and go elsewhere, choosing to ignore this makes clear how you feel about us.

Austism Speaks is nothing less than a eugenics-pushing, abelist hate group. The group has done more harm than good for Autism. It needs to be removed!

BeepFizzle commented
Autism Speaks must be removed. They are a harmful organization and should not be among the organizations you support.

cerealmjlk commented
Autism speaks is abelist and run by non autistics with the belief that autism is "something to be cured" or that they have a peice missing, hence the puzzle peice. Autistics have been voicing the fact that autism speaks is not a charity and should not be supported, they should be removed immediately.
This is coming from an autistic -

Remove this group immediately, this is a EUGENICS-SUPPORTING HATE GROUP.

This is truly horrible and needs to be removed immediately. This "charity" is a farce led by people who are not Autistic.

There are a number of excellent autism charities out there--Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network, Have Dreams, National Autistic Society, and the Organization for Autism Research, to name a few.
Autism Speaks is an ableist organization that ignores autistic voices and promotes outdated and harmful treatment methodologies. I strongly encourage Twitch to remove them as a charity partner.

azure_mist commented
Yes!! Please remove it ASAP! Autism Speaks doesn’t speak for autistic people!

QueerventureTime commented
These are not charities, they do not help the people they claim to help, they only do more damage.

I am not sure if it recorded my vote my browser is acting funny but, I am a streamer who has autism. I do not really talk about it because of trauma from how people treat autistic people. As such I do not want such charities linked to a site that I am contracted to, even if I am temoprarily not in the affiliate program because of my living situation.
