Followers could already use emotes with Channel Points Followers already have an ability to use emotes by using channel points in channels they actively engage in. This feature I feel would clutter an already hard to navigate emote viewer. It also makes it so people would just follow for an emote and not engage with the streamer or their content. I feel the channel point redemption for using emotes is good enough for this as it encourages viewer engagement with the channel in order to use them.

Allowing Follower Emotes In Other Twitch Chats I love the idea of follower emotes! I think it's great way to thank people for supporting the channel and dropping a follow! Personally though I think it would be great if they could be used in all twitch channels though instead of just my own twitch chat. I have raid emotes/heart emotes which I use when raiding and it would be nice if all my followers could have access to these emotes and use these during a raid so they can all use them instead of it feeling as more of a sub only emote. "Get Emote Sets" enhancements It would be useful if the following values could be added to each emote:
- Channel Name (e.g. "owner name") - Obviously the name can be retrieved from the "owner id" by doing another API request, but it would be nicer to require fewer API requests
- Tier - The "Get Channel Emotes" endpoint already contains a "tier" value, it would be nice if this one would also have it

GetUserEmotes needs updating The v5 GetUserEmotes does not include bit emotes, follower emotes or animated emotes. This should be updated. Or a new endpoint should be added to Helix to get this information.

IRC USERSTATE emote-sets should include bit emotes etc When a user connects to IRC, the USERSTATE command gives a emote-sets list, this does not contain unlocked bit emotes and I'm guessing it also doesn't include follower emotes and animated emotes. This should be fixed.

Stream Team Emotes Each stream team can have 5 emotes and each one is unlocked by being a sub to a member of the team. Each new sub to a team member unlocks another emote. Collect all 5 and you unlock a 6th.
For example, if a creator joins a team that has a nice (animated?) raid emote, they can then move their raid emote out of a more prominent spot.

Allow use of API to swap active emotes in and out from upcoming Emote Library The addition of the Emote Library that is coming soon is a fantastic addition, this is great for solving the issue of disparity between partners and affiliates on emote variety, without undermining the parner program and is a fantastic compromise.
I would like to suggest the addition to the Twitch API to allow for enabling and disabling of active emotes from the Emote library via a privlaged API call from a token with sufficient privlages through oAUTH.
An example of the proposed usecase would be 4 API calls:
-Activate Emote [Params: Emote ID, (Optional: Emote Slot)]

Follower Raid Emote The new beta test of Follower Emotes is great - and look forward to seeing it widely implemented across the platform.
I think a great idea to help with the community aspect of emotes would be to designate ONE of those follow emotes as a 'raid emote'. Something that all followers could use when you raid a channel.
I recognize that the likely implementation would mean that one of the five follower emotes would then be usable across the platform... And that likely goes against the core concept of the follower emote test - but still worth considering!

Allow Emotes For All Streamers & A Free Option I know this might be a bit farfetched, but in my short time on Twitch I've noticed that emotes can become a HUGE part of a channel's branding.
If someone is just starting out but really serious about creating a solid brand, they should at least be allowed 2-3 emotes without having to reach affiliate or partner first.
Every streamer has to invest time or money into their own emotes anyway (cause Twitch staff sure ain't paying for our emotes to be designed) so why not?
Figure out a way to streamline the approval process and there you go.

Pin recentely raided from streamer emotes The streamer you are currently viewing has their emotes pinned to the top of the chat window for easy access, followed by all your other subscribed emotes under that (in some ordering that I can't figure out).
After a raid you want to show love for the channel you just raided FROM but you have to scroll through your list of emotes to find that recently raided from streamer. Please pin CURRENT streamer emotes to top of list followed by LAST VISITED channel and then whatever weird order you are using. This will make it easy to show your support…

A way for mods/streamers to disable chat Recently, a streamer I moderate got spam botted, we did our best to disable chat to prevent it any further (Enabling emote only, follow only at the max time, and slow mode at the max time) but still couldn't stop them. I think it would be really good for twitch to add a "Disable chat" option for mods and streamers alike.

emote slot unlock for following dmca within a certain time frame Give streamers the ability to unlock additional channel emote slots for having an account in good standing for something like 90 days.
Incentives do wonders for changing habits and creating new routines.

top emotes Allow users to organize “Top Emotes”.
The frequent emote list is very inconsistent between different devices and this can be frustrating when you need to use your favorite emotes in the moment to communicate.
A fix to this would be to give users two rows at the top of the emote list that is customizable where they can lock in their favorite 10-14 emotes. This would carry over across different devices.
If a locked in emote cannot be used because a sub has ended it will work the same way as usual and display a 🔒 symbol next to it…

community emotes like ffz and bttv but built into twitch, community emotes would be uploaded by any user to the public emote library which streamers can select up to 50 emotes for their community to use without needing to be a sub or use channel points. Emote hello, From being with twitch for 3-4 years i start to think maybe for twitch turbo and non twitch turbo we should have this emote XD as well with those other emote of the smiles and etc. Reason is most phones has that emote and other devices so why not have Twitch account Turbo and non Turbo have that emote too. i hope i am not alone with this idea and not alone who is thinking this too. B) B)
