Horizontal category bar broke channel navigation in the emote menu
The issue is not just that the emote menu was changed, but HOW it was changed.
Moving the category/filter bar from the right side to the bottom is a major functional downgrade. A vertical bar on the right could scale infinitely by scrolling down, making it easy to display and jump to all subscribed channels. By moving it to the bottom horizontally, there is simply no screen space left to show individual channels.
Because of this design flaw, quick navigation between channel emotes is completely gone. Please restore the vertical side menu or bring back the channel tabs so we can actually browse our subscriptions properly again.

I'd have to agree, the emote navigation got worse after the recent emote navigation update. I liked the previously present channel-by-channel navigation buttons on the side that were pretty easy and quick to scroll through to find a specific channel and that one emote you want to use.
AFTER the update, however, that is gone and it's replaced by a very useless "channels" button that, even if it disappeared, wouldn't make a difference as all it does is to put you pretty much at the top of the list, which you start off at when you open the emotes anyways.
Because all the channel sub emotes got grouped into a single navigation button, it forces you to scroll through all the channels and emotes listed from them that you have access to instead of picking a channel to quick-jump to and get an emote. I can't imagine how bad it is when you have A LOT of channel subs with TONS of emotes...tldr: grouping the majority of the emotes on the emotes list into a single navigation button makes the said button-navigation lose its purpose as it's no longer helping with searching for emotes as it should have.
potential fix? either replace the one "channels" button with channel-by-channel ones like they were before or revert the change.
Or make the "channels" button open up another popup with all the channel buttons for selecting what channel to jump to or something, which would make it more clunky, but I'd take anything but the one button in the navigation for something that could reach like 80% of all emotes for some.
