Hey guys, HUGE update for everyone struggling with this, I've been very upset for a few months, I even developed the habit of not opening up the emote box and manually typing out every emote I have

I ended up sending a support request "ticket" to twitch to explain the situation and they actually removed the emote from my list, I'm so grateful for it!

over 90% of the time I just use the tab button to use emotes but when I do have to search for an emote in the list it gets annoying to try and search through so many emotes that I just don't like.

that said I understand how many people don't want to be stuck looking at emotes from people you have trauma or don't like. Which should be changed to be removed just like how you can deactivate subscription emote benefits from a streamer.

At the same time chatters who are permanently banned from streams and denied appeal should not be allowed to use bit emotes from that streamer. It is much better for everyone if banned chatters can not use the streamers emotes.

The bit emotes from channels that cause me literal PTSD are still there.

Massive lies spread about me to have me cancelled. Death threats and spammed with hateful messages even to this day in txts and Discord. Please let me avoid them in at least this way… thank you.

100% agree. My spouse and I have bit emotes from a former streamer friend whose behavior traumatized both of us. Considering that person doesn't even stream anymore (they got cancelled), I wish SO BADLY we could erase those emotes from our list and be rid of that awful memory when we just want to have fun in someone's chat.

I agree with everyone here, the emotional issues seeing old emotes from *hole streamers to this day is not ok. Please give us the option to remove them.

This is literally the only UserVoice I really, super duper care about. Twitch, please heed our call! I even know a streamer for whom it sucks too, because they feel guilty about forcing their bit emote on certain previous viewers.

It seems that Twitch simply doesn't care that others are struggling to deal with certain emotes that trigger stress and discomfort. I still have bit emotes from streamers who have bullied me and to this day, I cannot get rid of them. How is it that Twitch has YET to implement this feature?? I agree with most of the comments below. It's devastating to see some of these emotes still in my list years later.

i seriously use twitch less and less. and i'd be lying if that ONE LITTLE EMOTE isn't the reason for most of my drop off. every time i go to interact i am reminded of that trauma. it's ridiculous, i know. but it's there none the less. i use twitch LESS because this feature is not implemented.

implement this feature and we will use twitch MORE. ****, i might even start buying bits again. but until that emote stops haunting me, i can't handle it.

I agree. There was someone i once supported who i no longer wish to be connected with and I got a hype and a bit emote, which i have to stare at to this day. I think it shouldn't be that difficult to implement as we can change our settings to stop getting gifted subs for people we no longer follow. I hope Twitch changes this. It has been 3 years and nothing has been done. Come on twitch, we are not asking for much.

I think this needs to be higher on the priority list for Twitch's staff to implement. Something that is causing distress to the community needs to be dealt with care, not neglect.

I just don't know how much longer Twitch can choose to ignore this very key feature that would likely be super easy to implement. I have to look at an emote of a person who bullied me two years ago TO THIS DATE!!!

This needs to be implemented 100% as a further action against targeted abuse

When will this finally become a reality? Is Twitch even viewing these suggestions? It’s such a simple fix, too: Just add a REMOVE option under the 3 dots where report emote is!

3 years later and still not implemented, I really wish the Twitch devs would implement this :(

Please make this happen, rather than wasting time and resources in rejecting the most innocent and least offensive emotes upon upload. Clearly your priorities are not in order.

Is anyone at Twitch even reading/considering this? It is such a simple measure that would make life a LOT more pleasant on Twitch for myself and numerous mods/listeners! We have discussed this in chat on several occasions and dozens more agree that this is something LONG overdue.
