Stop requiring unnecessary phone verification
You know these commands that people have in their channels, you type !command and it does something? For example, you type !links and it gives you links.
Once upon a time, there was such a command. Unfortunately, it was broken and was providing a wrong link. So I took it upon myself to post the correct link a few times, as asked in the chat.
Next thing I know, Twitch requires me to verify my phone. It's a relatively old account, with gifted subs, and so on, so it's obvious I'm not a bot or anything.
But no, provide your phone number of f off. On all channels.
Guess what, Twitch. You f off. I am not giving you my phone number, for a very simple reason: you don't need it, and you have no business or justification asking for it. You are a f internet site. Can I have your phone number in case I want to call you? No? How f quaint.
So how about you fix you ds algorithm instead?

I totally agree. This fkrs doesn't need a phone number. They can't even explain how that's supposed to make the chat safe. If I want to do something that breaks the rules, I'd rather register a new account with a vpn enabled and do what I want without any consequences. How will linking a number for normal, sane users prevent this? It doesn't.
