Require Masks at Twitch Con NA
While I understand that currently the CDC is not requiring masks at events, I feel the staff of Twitch and the goers of Twitch Con NA have a duty to ensure con-goers are safe.
As it stands on the CDC COVID tracker website (https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home) you can see the fluctuations of the virus and the numbers are on an upward incline already and those numbers are only until January 6th.
From what the US itself is experiencing, much less the entire world taking into account international travelers who would be coming, a mask mandate for the convention should be put in place for not only NA but also for the EU.

YES. Masks are the number one thing you can do to help prevent covid. I know some streamers are deathly afraid of them like they're made of acid, but its a net good. So yes, wear masks..... unless you're ....I dunno....A BIG STINKY BOI. DONT BE A STINKY BOI.

I agree and it would be great if Twitch could provide KN/N95 masks for people. People have the right to not get sick and we should do right by our compromised community on and off Twitch.

Immunocompromised streamers and convention attendees deserve the respect of being protected when attending such a crowded event.
COVID numbers are soaring, it's not a matter to look at budget costs nor "optics".
We all remember what happened when twitch saved money on foam for the gladiator pit -

nobody wants to get sick! this would help prevent the spread of lots of diseases, but especially covid.
a LOT of twitch viewers are disabled and this would make it possible for more fans to attend and be able to enjoy twitchcon.

Everyone deserves to feel safe at TwitchCon. Masks must be required to protect our community members.

I believe everyone has a right to do what makes them feel most comfortable and what is best for their own personal medical situation. I enjoyed not masking at the Vegas convention and I look forward to not having to mask in San Diego!

While we're at it, let's also enforce masks at TwitchCon EU!

For years, I have watched from the sidelines as I have not been able to connect with my peers and possible potential opportunities with companies because as an immunocompromised disabled creator, I don't feel like Twitch has invested in the safety of my communities to make it possible for us to fully participate. Due to the nature of this work, a lot of streamers are disabled and work full-time on the platform and love it here. We want to feel seen and valued by Twitch and one of the best ways you could do that is putting some Covid precautions in place based on the data showing that Covid is at the second highest peak it's ever been at. Require vaccines, require masks (& provide them), provide hand sanitizer and if you want to go the extra mile, try to make it possible for some social distancing in the conference center. Please consider making it possible for disabled people to have IRL community too.

As an immunocompromised/disabled person, I can't afford to go to these events without precautions. I haven't gone to a Twitch Con since the pandemic started. We should be able to go to these events without worrying about potentially dying. Especially considering how important it is for some to go. People should care even if they aren't disabled
Also learning sooner rather than later would probably help a lot of people out. I'm holding off on making arrangements until I find out about the mask situation.

Hand Twitchcon KN/N95 masks out at the door. Enforce the masking rules. Keep attendees and your streamers safe.

Mandatory also means enforcement. This is a public health concern, and with 10 percent of infections leading to long covid, the TwitchCons that have already happened during this pandemic have already contributed to the deaths, let alone the major lifelong illness, of many of your community.
Immunocompromised and other disabled streamers deserve to be able to attend this, the most important networking event for Twitch streamers.

Please make K/N95 masks mandatory.

Considering there were *at least* 600+ COVID positives documented from social media alone ( https://twitter.com/zachbussey/status/1718721007597351196 ), there is a clear and present need for COVID safety at Twitchcons from here on out. Masking is the lowest hanging fruit to implement for all attendees. Providing high quality masks (not baggy blue surgical or cloth) to all attendees is well within Twitch's means.
This is a no-brainer.

Covid destroyed my voice and undid pretty much all the progress I'd made in getting my autoimmune disorder under control. It is in the same severity class - Biosafety level 3 (out of 4) - as tuberculosis and west nile.
Con Flu has been a thing since time immemorial, and honestly, we shouldn't have even been tolerating that. Not to mention that packing that many people into a small space comes with risk of CO2 suffocation. It's time to take common sense precautions, such as masks and proper ventilation.

COVID is still as debilitating as it was in 2020, if not worse because people are not taking proper precautions. Please require makes for those that can 💚

Failure to require masks will just lead to more folks being disabled. Masks MUST be required.
