requesting viewer-side controls to disable on-stream Combo messages that block video content.
I would like to formally request viewer-side controls to disable on-stream combo / Hype / Power-Up messages that appear directly over the video content.
At the moment, these combo messages significantly degrade the viewing experience, both on desktop and mobile. When multiple messages appear in quick succession, they can cover a large portion of the stream, distracting from and actively blocking the content viewers are trying to watch.
The core issue is that only streamers are given control over this feature, while viewers — who ultimately finance the platform through subscriptions, Bits, and ad views — are given no choice at all. This feels fundamentally unbalanced. A feature that directly affects how content is displayed should always include viewer-side opt-out controls.
While promotional UI elements near the Subscribe button on a channel page are acceptable and can be ignored or avoided (especially outside of fullscreen mode), injecting monetization elements directly into the video feed itself is not. This crosses the line from optional interaction into forced visual clutter.
Additionally, the default presentation of combo messages (e.g. preselected Bit amounts, persistent on-screen prompts) creates unnecessary risk of accidental interaction and contributes further to a feeling of aggressive monetization rather than voluntary support.
To be clear:
This is not a request to remove monetization features altogether.
It is a request to respect the viewer experience by allowing users to decide whether they want these overlays displayed on their screen.
Requested changes:
-A viewer-side toggle to disable on-stream combo / Hype messages
-This toggle should apply to desktop and mobile
-The setting should persist across streams and sessions
-Monetization UI should not block core video content by default
Viewers are the foundation of the platform. Features that actively interfere with watching a stream risk pushing users away rather than encouraging support.

I agree that there is way too much clutter and the whole setup is very misdirected towards new viewers, should be levels for new viewers and based on their content and followers
