power-ups
Power-ups need some form of alert for the streamer. I had viewers using this last night in my stream and I didn't even know what was going on or that it was occurring.
I happened to have my stream open on another monitor and saw emotes all over and didn't know how that happened. Then another person used a thing to enlarge an emote. Again, no notification and it showed normal to me and many in chat.
I usually have Firebot up to monitor chat while I stream. The messages sent with the power-up don't even show in there so again, I was not aware they were 1) spending bits and 2) sending a message.
For those of us that want to know when our chat is spending money in our streams we like to know when they are doing it and would like the option to get alerted that they are doing so. To have nothing is going to lead to less use as it will get less recognition and if the streamer isn't recognizing it why do it?
A bigger heads up would be appreciated also. This change happened during my stream and I had received the email (but hadn't seen it) only 2 and a half hours before.

Ask and you shall receive, I guess. Now Twitch created an alert type in Twitch native alerts with the giant emote to appear on screen on your stream and play the obnoxious default alert sound, but get this... There's NO SETTING for that alert trigger in twitch native alerts. So the only way for you to disable these being baked INTO your stream and vods is to STOP using twitch native alerts. It's been TWO YEARS. How is it twitch still can't implement common sense settings for this?? They only care if it effects their bottom line, so until such a time as they either roll out common sense settings or toggles to disable these, or I entirely migrate OFF of twitch native alerts, I will no longer be pricing these accessibly. Sorry to everyone who loved them - So did I. But streamers deserve to have control over these features. This is yet another example of twitch half-assing feature rollouts.

Between having zero control over what emotes are used, not being able to disable the feature in general, and a lack of notification for the streamer, the way Power-ups are currently implemented is horrible. Plus, having a PAID option be mixed in with the FREE redeems feels wildly unethical to me due to the huge potential for user mix-up. This sucks!
