Fix the Ads for Bits
I love the idea for supporting streamers with bits but frankly I don't have the money to spend on bits, so that's why I rely on the free bits from ads, but one time after watching an ad it says "Try again later" under the Watch Ad button. At first I thought "Ok. I'll just watch more tomorrow" but it still said "Try again later" and it has been like that for months so I gave up checking at this point. If you could fix this or at least ease on the time you need to wait between ads. Maybe like one or two ads a week and these ads can stack, (for example if I don't watch my two ads for one week I can watch 4 ads next week and if I don't watch those 4 ads, next week I can watch 6 ads, and so on.)
Of course the "two ads per week" is just yet another suggestion, you can tailor it to however you feel fit. I just at least want a way of knowing "Hey! I watched all my ads. I can wait until _______ to watch another one." instead of relying on what feels like random luck to watch another ad.
Hey everyone -
Today we’ve made the decision that we will no longer be offering Ads for Bits. Instead, we will be turning our attention to our newest ad formats like Multiplayer Ads, which allow you to vote in polls and reward Bits to your favorite creators.
The goal for Ads for Bits was to help make cheering available for everyone and we will continue to push forward with that goal, just in different ways.
We appreciate your feedback and interest in Ads for Bits since its initial launch, and hope you will continue to offer suggestions around future ads products.

This feature (watch an ad for 5 bits) should be available worldwide, especially on third-wolrd countries where most of the espectators are unable to purchase bits because they are out of their financial reach, but would like to support their favourite channels in some way, adn this would present an awesome opportunity to do so.

The current climate of advertisement on twitch is really detrimental to the platform.
1. Ads on vods??? this needs to stop I don't understand the purpose of forcing viewers to watch ads on vods.
2. pre roll unskipable ads have deterred me from opening up any stream I am not subbed to which has stopped me from discovering new streamers.
The vast majority of us spend so much money on twitch from bits, to subs to gifted subs. For the amount of money we spend on this platform I feel we are being left in the dust and exploited for ad revenue.

These questions & suggestions are very miscellaneous, so I am going to add them all into one post only. Also, I am aware these concerns/suggestions & questions/comments are not something that is (or should be for that matter) a priority. But even when we focus on the large issues at hand, we should continue on with the smaller ideas as well. Reason being - to continue to grow and have additional benefits, so that Twitch will be able to remain the number one and best place for live streaming.
5 THINGS:
#1 - with Ads being littered all over streams. (More than usual) I know there has been an uptick in people signing up for Twitch Turbo & finding out about Twitch Turbo for the first time ever. I have been an avid Twitch Turbo user and find the service worth the cost. That being said: since so many are getting Turbo, does twitch plan on adding any better/additional benefits for Turbo users. One idea that comes to mind, would be being able to have a free sub to a streamer (in addition to Twitch Prime, now Prime Gaming's free sub. Equalling 2 free subs to streamers for users who pay for both Turbo & Prime) This perk would not only be beneficial for viewers but also for streamers. Since with Turbo you no longer see ads. Then subbing to a streamer would only be for the benefit of getting the emotes and a general want with supporting a creator. The larger Twitch Turbo becomes, the higher chance that viewers will become less likely to subscribe to creators. Thus, hurting the streamer - while Twitch makes more than double the money (from that viewer each month)
--- Inquiries:
- What is Twitch's plan to combat this potential problem?
- Are there any plans to add new benefits to Turbo? If so, what are the potential things we may soon see?#2 - (suggestion only & Not as serious as other topics.) Chat Badges:
As previously stated about adding additional benefits for Turbo Users - the standard viewer in a live streamer's chat the viewer is limited to 2 chat badges. (Unless the viewer is a mod, VIP, editor, twitch staff, partner, etc) To allow viewers to be able to "wear" their Twitch Turbo badge without having to give up another earned badge. I know for me personally this has been something that has bummed me out when I am subbed to someone and I want to show off a custom bit or gift badge, but I also want my Twitch Turbo badge to show as well.#3 - Tags: Enable streamers to be able to have custom tags for streams. (to clarify, I mean the option for (1) custom tag on content. Not the entire tag section.) IN ADDITION, please expand the tag options for Twitch. Some of them are either too specific, too irrelevant, OR too broad. (ie. "multiplayer")
#4 - Twitch Status Posting. I'm not sure how many people remember the ability for posting/updating statuses for their Twitch page (as a viewer or a streamer) but I remember the feature being in beta. Then it seemed like one day, *poof*, the feature was gone and never heard of again. It saddened me, as I really thought that was a cool thing, and something helpful for streamers to be able to post updates to the main place their audience congregates. Thankfully, with the Twitch Twitter Extension, a streamer or viewer can have their Twitter statuses shown on their profile BUT this can only be viewed if you are on desktop. Not mobile.
#5 - Twitch Extensions. First off these are awesome. Love the ability & customization here. No complaints. Some stream extensions are available for use on mobile with chat (ie. Stream Stickers & Time Out with Bits) but profile extensions, like how Twitter is not viewable on a mobile profile. It would be insanely awesome to see these when looking at someone's profile through the app on mobile.
--- Has there been any talks of adding this in for mobile audiences?
--- Is there an ideal and easy way to be able to integrate profile extensions to the mobile app?
--- or, Is this something that would never be able to happen? -

I have had the same message where I would watch ads for bits for over 5 months now. “Please try again later” how long is later at this point? Will it ever refresh? I don’t think it’s fair when others have so many ads and I can’t even have one to support my favorite creators and streamers!

I saw many people posted their idea about Ads already. I will be on point. Ads are a way to get Twitch/Amazon and the streamer a bit more support, we all know that and we love to help if we can't subscribe. Recently Ads got more and more than ever used to be, this is mainly because maybe Amazon is pushing Twitch to pump more Ads but this is only my opinion. So ok, Ads got a lot more frequent, more than on TV! Sometimes even when you reload a stream or go to a new channel you get Ads straight in your face! Ads system seems very abusive right now, forcing people to subscribe. I like the idea of the content creators controlling Ads and not being forced to do so. I have a small channel and did not runned Ads even when I got 15-20 viewers because don't want to scare people away.
THE IDEA -> I would love to see ALL the Ads moving from full screen to right side, left, bottom left or bottom right with option for streamer to choose where. Ads would be in same window as the stream but in one of the corners , much smaller that you can still see the stream, they would have same volume as the stream and the stream will not be muted. YouTube has best way to deal with ads by giving you option to skip them after 5sec or so but I don't think this will happen on Twitch. I would love to see that tho. Thanks for reading :)

I love bits for ads, it was the perfect edition for people who couldn't buy bits for streamers. But after I did like one or two ads, it said try again later, and never let me for like a whole week, hopefully we can watch more ads or the cooldown goes down much quicker

This isn't just a Canadian issue, either the feature is broken or advertisers aren't paying for it, because the same thing happens the me in the US. Either way I feel like they should just fix it or remove it.

This is also only if you're lucky enough for the feature not to be just completely broken, I haven't gotten the option to watch ads for bits in months.
